The School of Montessori Inc is a dedicated educational community that has operated in Mid-County for over 50 years. As a parent-run, non-profit organization, our mission is to cultivate each child's inherent desire to learn through the "Learning through Discovery" philosophy. Led by Head of School Christie Fitts, our program provides a structured, AMI-recognized curriculum designed to foster independence, creativity, and self-discipline in a prepared environment. Our facility serves toddlers through Grade 1, offering both half-day and full-day sessions within a year-round calendar. Parents are active partners in the educational process, participating in school work days and workshops to maintain a high-quality experience. We emphasize a focused learning atmosphere using traditional Montessori materials, where children are encouraged to explore practical life, language, science, and the arts at their own individual pace.
