Operating at Miller Elementary since 1986, the YMCA of Arlington provides a structured and supportive environment for students after the school day ends. The program is rooted in the YMCA’s core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility, aiming to foster social and emotional growth alongside academic enrichment. By utilizing familiar school facilities, children transition seamlessly into an afternoon of engagement without leaving campus. Students have access to diverse programming including STEM-based projects, creative arts, and wellness activities. The schedule is designed for busy families, offering care from 6:30 AM before school begins until 6:30 PM. With a focus on academic support and physical activity, the program ensures that children remain active and productive in a safe, familiar environment while their parents work or attend to other responsibilities.
