It has been awesome to watch my grandchild enjoy himself at daycare and be around new friends. Staff has been good at helping with our transition into potty training as well. Fun times. lol

My son with special needs has been at La Petite since 3 and attends during school breaks now. My daughter has attended since 4.5 months old. There aren’t a lot of daycares out there that have programs for children with special needs. They took the time and spent a day with him to make sure they had the accommodation needed. My daughter enjoys her class and has transitioned well with new teachers. I have had a great experience with the staff and there is built in trust. They do have cameras in the classrooms to check on the kids throughout my day and a safe, large enclosed playground that they love.

I can’t say enough great things about my baby’s daycare! From day one, Ms. Bree has been absolutely amazing. I had so much anxiety about leaving my baby at just 6 weeks old to go back to work, but Ms. Bree made the whole process so much easier. She truly cares about the babies and is always looking for ways to improve and make things even better. You can definitely tell she pours her heart into what she does always going above and beyond for the babies. One thing that really stood out to me during my tour was how organized they are. They keep detailed notes of each baby’s last feeding and diaper change, and they stay on top of their schedule. It gives me so much peace of mind knowing my baby is in good hands. The baby room is always spotless and welcoming, and the live cameras are such a comfort throughout the day.

This is my first time using daycare and was apprehensive on leaving my baby girl but Ms Bree gave great love and care for my baby that I was able to focus on my workday without a worry. She's fun and crafty and loves making the classroom feel like a second home for the babies. We are so sad she has left the infant room!

Toured the facility, floors were dirty, furniture was old and worn. Staff was outside of the building smoking. The room where my son would have been is not partitioned off meaning everyone has to walk through the middle of their classroom to get where they are going, at all times. Overall it seemed unsanitary and ghetto. None of the doors locked or closed correctly, I saw staff battling with the locks. It just wasn’t the place for me. Tuition was priced at 250/wk for a 5y/o. Pricing not bad, but does not match what the facility offers.

Web Report

Aggregated insights from public records & parent discussions

Safety Record

Historical state inspection reports from 2014-2015 cited this facility for 10 high-risk violations, including incidents where a child left the building unsupervised and another was left on the playground. More recently, a 2025 employee review alleged the center ignores safety and state guidelines regarding classroom overcrowding and cleaning routines. The facility has been flagged by a local monitoring index as 'Needing Improvement' with a Severity Risk Index of 2.14, which is higher than the San Antonio city average of 1.96.

Parent Reputation

Parent reviews are generally high (averaging 4.7/5 stars), with many families praising the school director, Liza, for her communication and care. Parents frequently highlight the 'SproutAbout' app's live video streaming as a key positive feature. However, recent employee feedback provides a contrasting view, reporting disorganization and concerns about classroom structure.

Staff Insights

Employee reviews are mixed, with some teachers reporting long tenures of up to 10 years while others cite high turnover and low pay (approximately $10 per hour). Staff members have expressed concerns regarding management favoritism, poor communication, and instances where state-mandated ratios were not strictly followed. Positive employee reviews focus on the rewarding experience of working with the children and the friendliness of immediate coworkers.
