Nature Playscapes at Triumphant Love
Triumphant Love Lutheran Child Development Center offers a play-based curriculum rooted in nature and community engagement. Located in Austin, the center features a unique nature playscape with a dry creek and hiking trails, encouraging children to explore the outdoors as a core part of their daily learning. The program follows NAEYC research-aligned practices, prioritizing hands-on exploration and social-emotional growth over traditional worksheets. Director Meghan Thibodeau leads a long-tenured staff, with several educators serving the community for over a decade. The atmosphere is centered on spiritual and creative development, including weekly chapel and music sessions. While the standard schedule is part-time, the school provides a warm, family-like environment that parents frequently describe as a hidden gem for early childhood development.
What Parents Say
5 reviews from parents
Sending our daughter to school at the CDC was one of the best decisions we’ve ever made as parents. Loving teachers, enriching play-based learning, and a wonderful school community. Highly recommend!!
Triumphant Love Lutheran Church is a beautiful, welcoming community of faith that’s truly making a difference. Their leadership is compassionate, committed, and focused on serving both their congregation and the local community with love and purpose. As their commercial insurance partner, we’ve had the pleasure of witnessing their impact firsthand. If you’re looking for a church home filled with grace, truth, and connection this is a special place to be. 🙏🏽⛪💙
Both my boys have attended this school for over 3 years. I cannot say enough good things about the staff and teachers - they are so caring, attentive, kind - my boys have bonded with all their teaches. I feel confident that my oldest will be ready for kindergarten next year. I tried two other recommended early development schools in Austin before settling on this one - the other schools were great, but we knew from the first month that this was the best place for our boys - my only regret is not having found this school sooner. This place is a GEM.
TLLC CDC has provided the most nurturing, loving, play-based learning environment for our sons. The Staff, the Director and Board members are so loving, caring and thoughtful. They make you feel like family from day 1. I'll never forget the first time walking on campus with my almost 2 year old dropping him off for the very first time and we were greeted by first name by the Director. We immediately felt at home here and have been here for 5 years. What I appreciate is the flexibility to send my kids in a 2, 3 or 5 day a week pattern and the fact that they have baby care. This school is truly a special place and we'd recommend it to anyone! Our oldest was well prepared for Kindergarten and ahead of his class due to the great Pre-K education we received!
This is our first year at Triumphant Love, and it has been such a great experience- a true blessing. The staff is wonderful, and I love all of the different outdoor areas that the children have to play- two playgrounds and a nature area. My daughter went from not being in school because of COVID to going every day, and they were patient and gracious with her transition, and have loved her so well. We couldn't be happier!
