About Holy Trinity Presbyterian Day School
Holy Trinity Presbyterian Day School
Holy Trinity Presbyterian Day School has served local families for over three decades, offering a curriculum that blends Christian values with the developmental theories of Piaget, Erikson, and Vygotsky. The program emphasizes the process of discovery, aiming to build self-confidence and independence in every child. From the infant center catering to babies as young as six weeks to the Pre-K classrooms, the environment is designed for active exploration and social collaboration through classroom play. The campus features two distinct, age-appropriate playgrounds with grass hills and tricycle paths, ensuring ample outdoor time. A unique aspect of the program is the weekly Chapel in the sanctuary, where children age two and older engage in Bible stories and music with the Pastor. With a self-reported history of long-term staff and a full meal program including breakfast and lunch, the school focuses on nurturing the growth of the whole child in a stable, community-oriented setting.
What Parents Say
5 reviews from parents
We loved our experience at HTPDS. The teachers and director showed so much love from the teachings to the planned out monthly calendar of how to celebrate each day. The food was so creative and we loved the stories our daughter would come home to share. She still brings up her friends and her teachers! Thank you for all you have done for our kids.
OMG GUYS This is an Amazing day school center the Staff is so nice and attentive to all the children’s needs. Very communicative we have ages from infants to 5 year olds. We are very hands on with the children. Classes always have small group sizes. We also do chapel with the children. Omg and the playground is amazing they have 4 different areas for children's ages. Come take a look at this hidden gem.
My son has been going to HTPDS since he was 18 months old and he just graduated Pre-K today! He is always excited to go to school and almost runs into the classroom. The teachers at HTPDS have been wonderful and very patient with my wild child. They definitely know that kids are kids but also set good boundaries that have allowed my son to thrive. They also have small class sizes resulting in much more one on one attention. We will surely miss the day school next year when my son starts kindergarten but he is now well prepared.
We absolutely LOVE HTPDS. Our kiddo is so loved and cared for. We came after a not great experience at a different facility, and we were welcomed with arms wide open! Our baby has made so much progress and we are forever grateful for HTPDS!
My family started at HTPDS 3 years ago and it has been nothing short of a God send! Many of the staff have become like family and I know without a doubt that my children are in good hands when left in their care. Countless times I've seen the staff go above and beyond not only for my children, but others as well. I would absolutely recommend this daycare center to anyone looking for a safe, fun and easy going place for their children to go.
Web Report
Aggregated insights from public records & parent discussions
Safety Record
The facility has a regulatory history that includes 16 total violations, with 4 classified as high-risk according to state inspection data. While the school's website states it maintains an 'outstanding record' with Child Care Licensing (CCL), it was previously noted on a regional risk index with a score of 2.13, placing it among centers monitored for improvements. No major news incidents or legal issues were found in public records.
Parent Reputation
The daycare has a limited public footprint regarding parent feedback, with no reviews currently listed on major platforms like TrustedCare, Winnie, or Yelp. It is frequently included in San Antonio private school directories and local mother's guides as a established Christian-based option. Due to the lack of independent parent testimonials, the overall public sentiment remains unverifiable.
Staff Insights
The school's administration claims a 'long-term, educated staff with low turn-over,' though this is a self-reported detail from their website. No independent employee reviews or Glassdoor/Indeed ratings were found specifically for the Day School staff. Some historical reviews for the affiliated Holy Trinity Presbyterian Church mention mixed experiences with general leadership but do not directly address daycare management.
