About Grace Christian Academy Early Learning Center
Faith-Based Early Learning in Houston
Grace Christian Academy Early Learning Center has served Houston families since 1990, focusing on faith-based development for children from six weeks through junior kindergarten. The program employs the Abeka Curriculum, integrating academic fundamentals with Christian values. The facility is equipped with security measures including keycode entry and hallway monitoring to maintain a secure environment. Directed by Melanie Medders, the center provides a structured setting with flexible full-time and part-time options. While snacks are provided and prayer is included during meal times, the center does not provide lunch services. Families affiliated with the military or law enforcement may qualify for tuition discounts. The center also provides before and after school care with transportation for older children up to age 12, though the Early Learning Center remains a primary focus for toddlers and preschoolers alike.
What Parents Say

We love GCA ELC! We started sending our youngest (2yo) there in October 2020 and love the staff/director/teachers. He loves going to his "big boy school" every day . They are an accredited early learning center and have different schedule/payment options for PT vs FT to work with the parent's schedules unlike some of the bigger daycares in the area. Very happy with our decision to send him here.
This place has been such a blessing! My children have learned so much from the teachers here; way more than I had ever expected. I love that this is a godly environment and that all the staff have been so great to work with. If I ever need anything or have a question, Miss Carissa is always available and is quick to respond. I know my children are in great hands here. If you’re looking for a high quality school for your infants and toddlers, Grace Christian Academy Early Learning Center is your best bet!
This is a great facility. My daughter is 20 months, she loves going to see her teacher and her friends at KWA everyday. Everyday she gets to do reading time, coloring time, music time, bible reading and eat good food and snacks and much more. They work on her daily project, learn good moral values. Me and my family we highly recommend KWA for anyone looking for learning environment.
This place is not a daycare it is a babysitters club. I started taking my child when she was 3 months old and pulled her out at 11 months. There is no structure or schedule. They were feeding her lunch at 3 PM and letting her sleep whenever she wanted to. They did not read books, sing songs or teach the children anything! They have to push the swings in the infant room manually b/c they are too lazy to put batteries in them. The director Dolly should not be in charge of running this place. She does not care about the children or the employees. The employees refer to her as the "dragon". When I decided it was time to move my child to a real daycare she didn't even ask for a reason or mention she was going to miss us. We are now enrolled in Bell's Little Angel's and it is the best choice we have ever made! She is learning sing language, Spanish and has a schedule they follow every single day. PLEASE do not waste your money and take your child to Kids World Academy.
My child was in the infant and 12 mo+ rooms during the time enrolled. I loved the daycare at first but started noticing tension and there seemed to be staffing issues (teacher to student ratio). I felt that parents were not notified of issues in a timely manner if at all (ex: wasp infestation in the classrooms). When I called to request more information, the assistant to the upper school's director left me a voicemail stating 'They were aware and looking into the issue." No notification and the issue continued ongoing and I only found out through other parents who saw them in the classrooms. I started noticing my child would cry and cling to me when I would drop my child off (an outgoing baby, has been in daycare since 3 mo old). I started looking into other daycare centers as there are no cameras and I was concerned for my baby. I felt like my child was a number. When I called to verify my child's last day the director still did not act concerned we decided to pull her and instead asked if we would like to pay the balance on our account (for those two weeks). I have heard many issues from other parents. I would never trust again to leave my baby here due to neglect of the director.
