What Parents Say
5 reviews from parents
I’m bringing this up with management because I believe the staff’s shortcomings stem from the top. I wouldn’t recommend sending your kids here if you want to know what’s actually happening when they’re in the school’s care. Unfortunately, this location is the ones with lowest reviews and has the most complaints compare to other locations of Texas Kids. I’ve been sending my children here for a while, and here’s what I’ve noticed: Toys & Cleanliness: The toys are stained with black stuff, which shows they’ve been used and never washed for years. The couches and chairs for the kids have the same marks. It makes me wonder if they even wash the bedsheets. It’s disgusting! At least clean them so it’s not so obvious. Class: I’m not sure if they’re actually teaching the kids. I’ve never seen any pictures of teaching activities, and the class has 9 kids with 2 teachers. It seems like there should be more engagement happening. Playtime: I’ve never seen pictures of the kids playing outside after six months of sending them here. If they’re always indoors, I’m starting to think the outdoor playground is just for decoration. My kids are stuck inside all day and then go home to stay inside again. Food: The kids mostly get canned food, which can’t be very healthy. And the food isn’t cut into smaller pieces for younger kids to chew easily. For example, they serve oranges without peeling them, which is just silly. Snacks are only given after nap time, but by the time most parents pick up their kids in the evening, they’re hangry because they haven’t eaten enough during the day. Daily Reports: They provide daily reports on what the kids eat, drink, and how many diaper changes they’ve had. But the food and drink sections are always vague, like "milk, juice, apple, snacks," with no details on how much they actually ate or drank. What’s the point of writing it down if it doesn’t give any useful information? Tuitions: I understand paying for a day off here and there, but if the school is closed for a full week or more, it’s ridiculous to still pay for my kids to be at home. Also, if my kids take a week off for any reason, I’m still required to pay in full until they come back. It’s unreasonable and makes it hard to travel.
Great 👍 teachers and staff. Always are greated with a smile from Ms. Esther☺️ as you enter Texas Kids. Ms. Martha is the best 💕 I am really blessed 🙌 😇 and happy that I found the perfect care for my daughter and son. A second home 🏡 💓 . Their before and after care program is awesome you gotta ❤️ luv Ms. T. I definitely recommend Texas Kids God bless all the staff 🙏 🙌
My kids have been going here for a few months & they love it here. Ms. Martha, Ms. Toni & Ms. Llare are so friendly. My kids love going here & they actually send home art work instead of coloring pages. My kids love their teachers. The best daycare in the area!
My son has been here since he was an infant. Ms. Toni and her teachers are kind, professional, and most importantly kid friendly. As a teacher myself, I highly recommend this location if you’re looking for trusting teachers to love and care for your children. ❤️
Place is Awesome. We are moving to another neighborhood and can't go to this day care anymore. Our son and family absolutely love Ms. Toni and all of their staff. They treat our son as if he's our own only better. Our major drawback to moving to our new neighborhood was moving away from Texas Kids. We know he'll like his new daycare. This is absolutely an amazing place that treats each child as their own and generally cares about each child tremendously. We will miss Texas Kids greatly!!!
