I have been a member of Life Time Fitness since 2007 and recently moved to the east Lewisville area, so I end up going to Plano location. Unfortunately, my experience here has been very disappointing. The staff members are nice and friendly, and I appreciate their attitude. However, the condition of the facility itself is unacceptable for a premium gym. The restrooms, locker rooms, steam room, and showers are consistently dirty. The shower heads have very low water pressure, and I’ve seen people shaving their heads and not clean their remainings, which makes things even worse. The inside of the lockers are dirty and poorly maintained. Overall, the facility feels unorganized and unclean almost everywhere you look. The swimming pool floors are dirty, and the whirlpool/hot spa water often smells, has excessive bubbles, and appears unclean. This is very concerning from a hygiene standpoint. I have been with Life Time for many years and have visited multiple locations around Dallas. This is by far the dirtiest location I have experienced. The General Manager needs to pay much closer attention to cleanliness and overall maintenance. I strongly recommend leadership visit other locations to see the standard that members expect from Life Time. I truly hope this location improves, because Life Time has always represented a high standard in the past.

My husband and I have been at this gym for over 2 years now. We’ve tried all the lifetimes in the area since we are centrally located to them all. This one is hands down our favorite. Not because it’s the fanciest, it’s one of the older gyms, but because of the people. I can’t tell you how many times both my husband and I have noted the GM Stephen going above and beyond the role of management. He is daily in the trenches whether it’s tending to landscaping, cleaning the equipment and even today outside shoveling snow and making the entrance safe for customers during the snow storm. His leadership shows not just in the clubs appearance but in the incredibly friendly staff and the fun events every month. The Kids Club staff is absolutely the best in the area so if you have little ones this is the place to be. Every single one of the kids club staff employees, whether in or out of the kids area, greets our son by name with a smile when they see him. We only bring him 1-2x a week at max so this is so impressive and makes us feel a part of their lifetime community. Reviews about cleanliness or other issues is honestly shocking to me. We are here almost 7 days a week and we regularly note how clean and organized it feels. For being one of the older buildings you really wouldn’t know because of all they do to catch the club up to the newer ones.

I visited this location when I was traveling during early Jan 2026. It’s pretty decent. Better than my home location, actually. One thing they should really consider though is to rotate the 2 rows of alpha squat racks 180 degrees and push them all together (back to back) to essentially form one row, then install mirror stands between them so everyone has a mirror to look at for symmetry, and ALSO to prevent having to see peoples faces as they work through heavy squats or deadlifts. Mirrors are crucial to me to see my squat depth & balance.

This used to be my home gym a few years ago and I had recently visited to warm up before a late rec league game. I love lifetime but this locations upstairs lifting area is very chaotic now. It used to have balance amongst equipment, good free weight space. and places to put equipment back that maintained flow of the space. Now it just feels super cluttered and crammed forcing individuals to leave equipment out of place, not care for the space and workout ontop of one another. I understand monetizing with new amenities but there has to be a better way to create space for peoples workouts and creating a environment where guest want to care about putting things back. Additionally I love to connect my apple watch to the treadmills for my data and I tried 3 different treadmills and none of them were connected to the lifetime internet therefore I couldn't sync my watch. I have no problem with this at any other location. I wish there was more love and intent behind this locations layout rather than cluster niches of monetization for the company. I cant relax and workout upstairs and clearly people don't care to keep it clean by leaving their workout towels everywhere and not wipe equipment. it just is very cluttered feeling and all over the place.

I had such a great experience at Life Time today. I misplaced my Apple Air Max headphones, which are not only expensive but a gift I really care about, so I was anxious trying to find them. A kind gentleman first helped me look, and even though he wasn’t able to locate them, he stayed patient and supportive the whole time. Then Marwyn stepped in and went above and beyond. She wasn’t even the person helping me originally, but she listened to everything I said, was fully attentive, and really took the search seriously. She found my headphones locked in secured in a drawer, and I cannot tell you the wave of relief I felt. Her customer service was genuine, not rushed, not transactional. She made me feel taken care of. Beyond the people, the facility itself is beautiful. The gym is spotless every time I’m there, the equipment is well maintained, and the entire space feels clean and elevated. I’ve been going here for nearly 14 years. It’s easy to see why so many members love coming here. The staff culture really shows people help because they want to, not because they have to. Thank you again to the team, especially Marwyn, for turning a stressful situation into a great experience. I feel lucky to be part of this community.
