About Powerhouse Cheer & Fitness
Power House Cheer Afterschool Program
Power House Cheer and Fitness provides a high-energy environment within a massive 17,000 square foot athletic facility. Led by owner D'Ann Legg, a certified teacher with over 25 years of experience, the program is designed for school-aged children who thrive on physical activity. The space is equipped with professional spring floors, tumble tracks, in-ground trampolines, and a 400 square foot foam pit, offering kids a unique way to burn off energy after a long school day. Operating as a Christian-oriented program, the curriculum focuses on building confidence and leadership through movement. The facility provides transportation from local Belton schools and includes daily snacks. Beyond gymnastics, the program emphasizes teamwork and commitment within a welcoming atmosphere. While the focus is heavily on athletics and tumbling, the experienced staff maintains a structured environment where children are encouraged to develop both physical skills and personal growth.
What Parents Say
5 reviews from parents
My daughter loves the classes at Powerhouse. She takes two classes and because of her jump class we found Jewel. Jewel has been an amazing asset to my daughter's growth, both in classes and private leasons. She pushes her out of her comfort zone while also making practices fun.
our family left deeply disappointed in how this program is run. What we experienced was not athlete-centered leadership, but optics-driven decision making. Competition choices consistently favored low-risk events with minimal real D1 competition, rather than meaningful opportunities that would actually challenge and develop athletes. Wins were framed as success, even when the competitive field was thin or non-existent. When parents asked reasonable questions about these choices, the response was defensiveness and intimidation instead of transparency. Rather than investing in coaching depth and honest growth, leadership appeared more focused on protecting image, managing perception, and controlling the narrative. That became unmistakably clear when our team was pulled from major national competitions, while the gym continued to pursue easier paths to bids. We ultimately left because we no longer trusted that decisions were being made in the best interest of the athletes. Families deserve clarity, accountability, and a program that prioritizes real competition and genuine development — qualities we did not find here.
Everyone is so welcoming. My daughter is enjoying attending. The coaches are fun, but firm when teaching which is great for my kid.
We visited Powerhouse Cheer today for a stunt clinic that was going on and my daughter had so much fun. We have never been to this gym and the coaches were sweet and accommodating. I’m not sure they were anticipating the turnout they had for the clinic so the viewing area was a bit crowded but we still got lots of good videos and some extra stunting work in. They never made us feel unwelcome or out of place and offered us chairs when the seating was full.
My daughter has been at Powerhouse since March and we love it! She has made a lot of progress. Lance has been awesome! We had him give my daughter some private lessons to boost her confidence and he was great!
