About Katy's Early Childhood Enrichment Center
NAEYC Accredited Christian Enrichment Center
Operating for over 22 years, Katy’s Early Childhood Enrichment Center provides a nurturing environment on the Westland Baptist Church campus. Director Sandy Fernandez leads a program focused on holistic development, addressing each child's physical, social, emotional, cognitive, and spiritual growth. As a NAEYC accredited facility, the center maintains high standards for early childhood education that exceed state requirements, offering both full-time care and structured preschool hours. The curriculum includes weekly Chapel, STEM experiments, and creative arts, designed to prepare children for a successful transition to kindergarten. Parents often describe the atmosphere as a supportive "extended family" where long-tenured staff, many holding Child Development Associate (CDA) certifications, focus on individual child needs. The campus features specialized spaces like a robotics lab and vibrant outdoor play areas to keep children engaged and active throughout the day.
What Parents Say
5 reviews from parents
I can’t say enough wonderful things about the teachers at Katy Early Enrichment Center From the very first day, they have shown incredible care, patience, and dedication to my son’s growth and happiness. It’s clear how much they love what they do, and it reflects in the way they nurture and support my son. Thank you so much Cheyenne and Paola! The best teachers!! I remember the times I would drop my son off at school and he would cry on the first few days but you both took your time to calm and comfort him. I truly appreciate everything!! Thank you again!
My family and I absolutely love Katy ECEC! The teachers are phenomenal and we love how there is a small classroom to teacher ratio, ensuring our daughter receives the attention and support she needs. We appreciate how every teacher knows our child’s name and makes them feel so special. We highly recommend Katy ECEC to anyone looking for a quality child care in a fun and loving environment.
My son has gone to school here for the past 3 years and we absolutely love it. He is always excited to go to school and loves his teachers. The staff have always shown to be patient and kind. Katy ECEC will always be our go to. I highly recommend this school for anyone who wants to see their child soar- both intellectually and socially.
I highly recommend KECEC! Our daughter started in the infant room almost 2 years ago and has continued to flourish every step of the way. She has loved all of her teachers and we love how each of them has gone above and beyond to help her develop and learn. She’s always excited to go to school- her favorite is Chapel Day! The front office staff is also amazing and always so friendly and helpful! Our daughters development and well-being was a top priority and KECEC has exceeded expectations.
Katy ECEC has been amazing to our family. We started our oldest boys there for the summer camps that they were too cool for and they quickly couldn't wait to go the following summer. While they have since aged out, we have our youngest kids there. It has been so great to see just how much growth this school provides for all ages. The learning, activities and extended family this school provides is such a gift. We are very proud to be a part of this family and are always quick to recommend them to anyone we know looking for their kids.
