About The Children's Place at St. Andrew Presbyterian
The Children’s Place Preschool at St. Andrew
Established in 1995 as a mission of St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, The Children’s Place Preschool provides a nurturing environment centered on the development of the whole child. Led by Director Kirsten Trachsel, the program utilizes a research-based, thematic curriculum designed to foster growth through multi-sensory experiences. Teachers focus on physical, cognitive, social, and emotional milestones, ensuring each child’s uniqueness is celebrated within a supportive community. The facility offers specialized monthly art classes and twice-weekly music sessions involving song, dance, and instruments. Older students can participate in enrichment programs like Stay & Play and the Afternoon Book Club, which emphasize literacy and gross motor development. With classroom ratios intentionally kept stricter than state mandates, children receive individualized attention in a space that balances academic foundations with the vital work of play.
What Parents Say
5 reviews from parents
Great facility and even better people. My son always had a great time attending here.
We love The Children’s Place! Everyone from the staff to the director are so wonderful! I feel confident that my kids are learning so much more than I teach them at home. They are happy to see their teachers everyday. It’s a clean, happy place where my kids get a few hours of play, learning, and socialization a few hours a day.
After jumping between preschools and never finding our fit, my children are thriving at The Children’s Place and it’s been an amazing fit. We love the teachers, curriculum, and the director is fantastic.
Fantastic preschool! Loving teachers devoted to age-appropriate activities to meet each child, where they are.in their development. My granddaughter attended and now my great- granddaughter attends!
I felt my child was not ready for a full day of kindergarten so I was looking for a half day program that was affordable. I am so happy that we chose the Children's Place. The teachers are wonderful and the class size is small. They don't sit at desk all day. It's at wonderful environment! They also have an after school book club that helps you child acclimate to a longer day. It's a great school!
