What Parents Say
5 reviews from parents
My sons started attending Arapaho Day School this fall, and it has been a wonderful experience for our entire family. They were previously home with me, so I was worried about the transition, but it was seamless, and they genuinely LOVE going to school each morning! Their teacher, Mrs. Claudia, is fantastic and couldn’t be more loving and nurturing towards the kids. I really appreciate the play-based approach of the school and all of the physical activity my boys get to enjoy. They also do lots of art projects and really enjoy music class, too. The school is great about communicating with parents, and the entire school community has been very warm and welcoming to our family. I’m definitely happy with our decision to send them to this sweet preschool!
Arapaho Day School is such a great option for someone looking for a flexible and tight knit preschool. We signed my 3 year old up after having a great experience with the teachers through All Moms meetings at the church. I stayed home with my son full time prior to this, so I was very picky with who I would trust with him. Everyone truly loves kids and does their best to make each child feel special and cared for. We only enrolled in a school to give our son more opportunities for socialization, so we really appreciate that it’s play based. You can pick whichever days work best for your schedule and you can also add early drop offs/late pick ups as needed. It’s a great option if you want quality, part-time care without feeling like you’re paying a fortune.
Arapaho Day School has been wonderful for my kiddos. After some stress of trying out some other places that did not work out, we are in our 2nd year here and are so happy how the Day School has exceeded our expectations to help nurture the lives and educations of both my boys. We chose to do Transitional Kinder this year for my oldest, September baby, to help him prepare for the rigors of kindergarten next year. He has been loving it, new responsibilities and experiences are helping him grow a ton. For my toddler, his favorite part of the day is music where he can dance along to the beat and learn new songs. It is such a supportive environment, love it.
We love Arapaho Day School! The teachers are so kind and truly care about every child. Our daughter has grown so much since starting, especially in her social and emotional skills. She’s always excited to go to school and it’s been such a joy to see her confidence and friendships grow. We’re so grateful for this school and we couldn’t be happier with our experience!
We started at the day school this year after attending two other preschools. We have been so pleased with our experience so far with both the transitional kindergarten class and the day school as a whole. The teachers are all very caring and warm and because it's such a small environment, they all know all of the kids. My son loves his teacher, Mrs. Roberts, and she has the amazing ability to see each student for who they are and lean into their interests and strengths. The current interim director, Ms. Ricki, is very responsive which I appreciate and we get updates from her and my son's teacher on the child pilot app which is fun. We love the focus on play based learning and love that the students get music with Ms. Merrie every day! They get plenty of movement time both outside and in their large indoor play area. We take advantage of early drop off and stay and play and appreciate the flexibility this gives us with our work schedules. My son also enjoys his time with Mr. Vance during the extended care options and looks forward to helping him with the younger students. We had always heard amazing things about the day school and now I can say with confidence it is a truly special place. If you are looking for a warm and inviting learning environment with teachers who care and truly embrace play based learning, I couldn't recommend Arapaho Day School more!
