About Good News Preschool
Christ-Centered Play-Based Preschool in Leander
Established in 2014, Good News Preschool operates as a ministry of Good News Church, offering a Christ-centered environment for toddlers through pre-kindergarten. The program emphasizes play-based learning and developmentally appropriate experiences to nurture young disciples. The space is designed to foster both spiritual growth and academic readiness through hands-on exploration and physical activity. The curriculum includes daily specials such as chapel, music, Spanish, and sensory motor activities. Children benefit from a low-ratio environment with two teachers in every classroom. The campus features two outdoor play areas and a garden where children can connect with nature. Older children also participate in unique on-site field trips, such as visiting a nearby nursing home to share handmade cards and songs with residents, building a sense of community and empathy from an early age.
What Parents Say

My both daughters go to Good News PreSchool .I couldnt find a better place for them as for our it was the best decision. My 4 year old struggled to adjust across previous 4 preschools and daycares prior to joining here at the age of 18 months. For 5 months she struggled across and when we almost gave up and tried Good news it was just nothing less than magic. Both my kids come back home with lots of stories and favourite games and lovely friends. My little one found it amazing on day one itself and can't thank all the wonder teachers over there. Its definitely an amazing place. Lastly every teacher is very caring attentive and extremely loving and patient. The best part is that they respond so quick and their director Mrs.Tonya is an amazing lady she was my elder ones first teacher and also many kids favourite.
My oldest just graduated from Good News Preschool after three wonderful years. I can honestly say my child is much more prepared for kindergarten because of his time here. The teachers and staff are so loving, patient, and kind. They greet each child by name every morning and ensure that they feel seen. The director, Tracy, is always quick to respond to any concerns or questions I've had and it's very obvious how much she cares about the school and its students and teachers. I could not have asked for a more enriching and nurturing environment for my children's first school experience. I'm just glad my youngest has two more years here before we have to say goodbye!
3 of my children have gone to Good News Preschool. It is easily accessible on the North East side of the 1431 and 183 highway intersection. I have never had a problem with the staff, they handled my stubborn and emotional kids very well. They do well teaching the children to both play and learn. I plan to send my fourth child there in 2023. Highly recommend their professionalism and kindness.
This is an excellent preschool. My daughter started here at 18 months and I anticipate her continuing until kindergarten. Great curriculum and structure.
The BEST!!! All three of my children have attended this preschool and it has been amazing to watch them learn while having a good time. This is a true preschool and not a babysitter. They use play based learning and whatever they do WORKS! My kids love going to school and their teachers have been excellent and high quality teachers. We love the staff plus the school actually communicates with you (which is very helpful as a parent of 3 kids).
