Located on the Springtown Elementary School campus, the Springtown Early Learning Center (GELC) provides a specialized educational environment for the children of district employees. The program serves infants as young as one month old up through three years of age, focusing on school readiness through an academic-based curriculum. The center operates in alignment with the SISD employee calendar, ensuring seamless coordination for district staff while offering a nurturing space for their 'littlest Porcupines.' The facility is designed with early development in mind, featuring classrooms filled with natural light, dedicated art and science activity spaces, and an outdoor playground and garden. With a curriculum that utilizes NAEYC standards, the program emphasizes growth and community. Nutritious meals and snacks are provided daily, and the center maintains a high standard of professional care led by dedicated district staff like Director Tina McDonald.
