About First Baptist Church - Alta Loma
Wee Care Mother's Day Out Santa Fe
Wee Care Mothers Day Out, a ministry of First Baptist Church of Alta Loma, provides a part-time childcare option for families in Santa Fe. Operating Monday through Thursday, the program utilizes the church’s Family Life Center to serve infants through school-age children. The curriculum is centered on Christian values, aiming to establish a foundation of faith through Biblical teaching and character development. The program is led by Director Megan Williams and follows a schedule from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. While the facility provides snacks and utilizes rolling emergency cribs for its youngest attendees, it focuses on a Mother's Day Out model rather than full-time daycare. Families looking for a faith-oriented environment for their children will find a community-focused atmosphere that integrates scripture and spiritual growth into daily activities.
What Parents Say
5 reviews from parents
Friendly staff and flock. Excellent small MDO
I go here when I'm in town, a very good pastor and nice small church, good messages from the Bible. I do pray it will come back from the COVID mess and regain membership.
Very good music and the pastor teach straight for the Bible _no person stories
We absolutely love going to this church. It’s family oriented, with a great children’s church that teaches my kiddos about God and their blessings. Every time we walk out of church after hearing the pastor speak, I feel uplifted and have a better day than if I hadn’t have gone. The pastor relates modern day challenges to those in the Bible, giving suggestions about how to handle the day to day stresses of everyday life. I highly recommend giving it a shot if you live in the Santa Fe area.
Great church with awesome kid and youth classes. Jesus loves you ; come today.

However, its reputation is currently heavily impacted by the widely reported 2023 brain injury incident and subsequent legal settlement.
Staff Insights
No specific employee reviews were found on platforms such as Glassdoor or Indeed. Operational documents list Jacob Bigford as the lead contact/pastor, and parent handbooks mention that staff are required to follow Texas minimum standards for supervision and safety, though legal filings from 2023 alleged failures in these areas.
