About Indiana Avenue Baptist Church
Indiana Avenue Baptist Preschool and PDO
Indiana Avenue Baptist Church provides a weekday Preschool and Parent's Day Out (PDO) program designed to blend academic foundations with Christian values. Operating Monday through Thursday, the program serves children from 6 months through 5 years old, offering both half-day and full-day options that conclude by 2:45 PM. Children participate in age-appropriate activities including Wee Worship, themed centers, and outdoor play in a dedicated children's building. Led by Director Carrie Bailey, the program emphasizes making every child feel valued and accepted. The facility features an indoor playground, chapel, and classroom spaces where students engage in early literacy, phonics, and math. Families benefit from a community-focused environment that includes 'Mom to Mom' groups and seasonal events like Kids Night Out and the Pinewood Derby, fostering a supportive atmosphere for both children and parents.
What Parents Say
5 reviews from parents
My family has been involved in areas of the children's, youth, college, worship, and women's ministry, and all are wonderful! Each minister looks to Christ as the ultimate leader to guide them and they are passionate about bringing others to Jesus and discipleship.
“having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!” 2 Timothy 3:5 They caused a lot of church hurt in my life, & praise the Lord my soul wounds are fully healed and I have forgiven them completely. I forgive this church, but in a nut shell, they kicked me out for believing in spiritual warfare. When I shared my healing testimony, they basically condemned me and told me supernatural healing or any of the spiritual gifts don’t exist anymore. I saw a lot of gossip within the church members as well. I know no one is perfect, but this place lacks true Holy Spirit. I pray for them daily. They have a form godliness but deny the power of Holy Spirit. Also, they favor people who tithe and write bigger checks verses the people who tithe very little. I also saw some hurting people here and the church didn’t even help them. I pray they fully surrender to God. They are not a true biblical church.
For over 18 years, my parents faithfully attended Indiana Baptist Church and paid tithes. After my mother passed in April 2021, Pastor Steve McMeans never once called or checked on my grieving father. When a pastor also allows the firing of a blind piano player, also depending how much you give might get you a one-on-one dinner with the pastor and wife..... (18 years not one invite to dinner, rich aunt and uncle give and they get dinner) I hope the aunt & uncle know you can NOT write a check to get in Heaven.... But it will get you dinner (what a joke) “Woe to the shepherds who destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture, declares the Lord.” — Jeremiah 23:1
Wonderful church! They actually teach Biblical principles..... which sadly isn't the case for a lot of churches anymore.
Arrived for a Twelve10 night of worship. Very nice venue, and the people running sound, lights, and words did a great job.
