What Parents Say
5 reviews from parents
This school is truly something special. After welcoming our little one into the world, my wife and I toured several schools and daycares in Austin. When we found Fiorella, we immediately fell in love. At first glance, it’s a warm, inviting space filled with everything kids gravitate toward...books, toys, fossils, creative material...an environment that feels both cozy and thoughtfully curated. The presence of a real curriculum was also a major draw for us, especially since we wanted far more than what we jokingly call a “child storage service.” Six months later, the experience has exceeded every expectation. It’s clear that our child is genuinely thriving here. The owner and staff are exceptionally kind and demonstrate a deep passion for childcare, early education, and healthy development. The range of activities they provide has had a noticeable impact on our child’s social growth, motor skills, curiosity, and overall development. Fiorella has been so much more to us than a daycare. It has become a supportive, nurturing extension of our family’s daily life, and we feel incredibly fortunate to have found it
For the past two years we’ve been part of this through family, and this is truly how I feel: all the kids know each other and genuinely care for one another. As a family that keeps Spanish as our first language, we really wanted a place that would embrace that for our child, and we found it here. The owners deeply care about the children and organize wonderful events and programs where the kids perform, reminding me of how schools are back home. We celebrate so much, and they do an amazing job embracing cultures from around the world. We’re so happy we found them. Thanks Miss Titi, Miss Vicky, Miss Roxy, Miss Mary, Miss Yasmine, Miss Gisel, you are part of my boys life and make a great impact in his life ❤️
We absolutely love this school! The teachers are incredibly loving and dedicated — you can truly feel their passion for teaching, not only academically but also emotionally. My son Diego has grown so much since he started here, especially in learning to manage his emotions and handle frustration in a positive way. We’re so grateful for the care and attention they give to each child. It’s a beautiful place where kids feel safe, happy, and truly understood.
Amazing Spanish immersion school, it's a hidden gem in the Austin Oak Hill area! The indoor areas have a wide variety of learning materials that makes learning fun. There is an enormous outdoor area with a shaded playground, sport court and even an stage for performances! It fills our heart to hear our 3 year old speaking Spanish at home, money well spent! The teachers and staff go above and beyond the call of duty to make this an exceptional educational experience. We highly recommend Fiorella Reggio Emilia School!!!
We have attended Fiorella for quite a while with 2 children and have only good things to say about it. When we first attended, we found a welcoming and colorful space with attention paid to each of our kids directly from the teachers; the kids love the teachers even outside of school and have grown in confidence with learning Spanish. The school has a wonderful inside and outside and is located in a very nice part of town for children. The events bringing the parents in and end of year presentations really help build a community around the children rather than just being a normal preschool. Kids actively learn about science, math, and writing before kindergarten, and our eldest has been able to easily transition to kindergarten and excel because of the things she directly learned at Fiorella.

Safety Record
In January 2025, the Texas Attorney General announced a $250,000 settlement in a labor trafficking lawsuit against the school's owners and their previous entity, Austin Eco Bilingual School. The lawsuit alleged luring foreign employees with false promises, paying sub-minimum wages, and using threats of deportation or family separation to control staff. State licensing records for the south location show 21 deficiencies over the last 60 months, including 6 non-compliances found during a January 2026 inspection, though no serious injuries have been reported.
Parent Reputation
The school has a mixed reputation, with significant community caution on platforms like Reddit due to its history of name changes (formerly Austin Eco Bilingual School and Nido Verde) and the labor trafficking settlement. While the school promotes itself as a premier Spanish immersion program, some parents report receiving defensive responses from management when inquiring about past legal issues. Reviewers on parent forums express a lack of confidence in the facility's leadership despite the high-quality curriculum and facilities described in marketing materials.
Staff Insights
Staff experience at the school has been characterized by severe legal allegations of exploitation, including labor trafficking, underpayment, and coercion, as detailed in a 2021 state lawsuit and subsequent 2025 settlement. State records indicate high employee turnover at the south location, with 9 employees leaving between 2024 and 2025 alone. Allegations against the director included threats of retaliation and requiring employees to hide from licensing inspectors during visits.
