What Parents Say
5 reviews from parents
My son has progressed so far in the last 7-8 months that he has been attending here. The staff always has a smile on their face, and are always willing to help with anything you may need. I highly recommend Little Texas Stars in Peaster to anyone who is looking for an awesome childcare provider.
I absolutely love the teachers and staff. The daycare is very conveniently located near the Peaster school district, allowing for optimum student transport for my preK attending 4 year old. He spends the rest of his afternoons here, and those ladies a SUPERB at getting him to transition and nap when he needs it. The other kids seem to really get along well also. I've also had to contact upper management about our account a handful of times, and they were generous with their time and concern about OUR personal situation. They were very helpful in negotiating around my circumstances that helped us both.
I would give this place 0 stars but everytime I take the star away it will not allow me to post. My son went there for about 9 months. It was good until May 14th the day before my sons 3rd birthday. They had a sub in his classroom. They went outside to play and when my mother came to pick up my son they opened the back door he came in and was crying. My mother and other teachers that were inside ran to him and tried to figure out what was wrong with him. 20 minutes pass and the teacher that was outside with him came inside and said she thinks he fell. So I leave my job because my mom called me and said he is flipping out and crying. I came home and took him to cooks children. They ran a full body xray on my son because i couldnt even tell them what was wrong with my son because the daycare didnt even know. Turns out his collar bone was broken. This was a nightmare for me and my family. I go to the daycare the next day requesting to see video footage and the directer didnt even know anything about the incident because no one reported it. She told me she would find out what happened and question everyone. My kids dad also went to the daycare and saw a broken toy car that they think he hurt himself going down a hill on the back (which they have no cameras in the play yard). He goes back the next day again and all the broken toys were gone and all of a sudden they knew 100% what had happened to my son. This all conveniently happened before CPS came to investigate them for my sons incident. With my insurance for my sons incident was $1,900. They told me they aren't liable and wont help. They have no remorse for what happened. But they weren't the ones with the long nights I had with my son in pain crying saying he hurt. They tried to tell me it was a "minor" fall and that's why the girl didnt report it or tell anyone right when it happened. You have to fall hard to break your collar bone and they are saying he didnt cry when it happened.... I know my son he cries when he stumps his toe. The owners response was he knows his employees and they wouldn't lie... please be causous about sending your kids here. By no means am I saying they beat or hurt children. But if an accident happens they are not trained to deal with it. To not inform a parent and not be able to tell them exactly what happened is horrible. Then to tell a parent CPS showed no neglect so we aren't liable... come on now. My kid broke his collar bone and no one could say what happened... that's neglect on its own. To further add to the daycares response....Can they show the phone calls they had with me? Can they show that when I came in the next day that my sons incident was not reported and no one still knew exactly what happened to my son. You are darn right I'm an upset parent because my three year old broke his collar bone and no one could tell me what happened until a couple of days later!!!
We have had to move several times, resulting in several different daycares. This daycare is by far my favorite. They are reasonably priced. The staff are great. My 5 yr old is kindergarten ready thanks to her awesome pre k teacher. Very clean. My 8 yr old loves to go here after school and during the summer as well.
