Wholesome Generation Nature-Immersion Reggio School

Wholesome Generation is a non-profit alternative education center dedicated to 're-wilding' children through nature immersion and Reggio Emilia-inspired pedagogy. Located on a 5.5-acre campus, the program integrates a natural creek bed, organic gardens, a bee apiary, and a food forest into daily learning. Children engage in project-based work that connects literacy and science with environmental stewardship and sustainable farming practices. The school emphasizes the whole child through social-emotional learning and mindful practices like yoga and breath work. A standout feature is the culinary program, which provides organic, plant-based meals prepared in a mobile culinary classroom. This model ensures children understand the food cycle from seed to table. Founded by Heike Saint-Orens, the program fosters environmentally conscious global citizens in a nurturing, screen-free environment that values diversity and social justice through a culture of 'YES'.
