About Morning Star Childcare

Morning Star Home Child Care

Morning Star Child Care is a licensed home program led by Yetunde "Ms. Yetty" Ijimakinwa, who brings over a decade of experience to her family-run operation. The program emphasizes developmental milestones through intentional play, creative arts, and hands-on science projects. Parents describe the atmosphere as a "home away from home," where children receive personalized attention and genuine care in a pet-free setting. The space is thoughtfully organized into dedicated learning zones, including a literacy-rich reading nook, an art area, and a nap room. Outside, children enjoy a fenced play area designed for active movement. Participating in the CACFP, the program ensures all children receive nutritious meals and snacks. Morning Star also accommodates school-aged children with before and after-school care, including transportation options to local schools, making it a comprehensive choice for Plano families.

I LOVE Morning Star Childcare. My son started there when he was 1 year old and attended until he graduated at 5 years old. The learning there is honestly unmatched my son left there knowing how to add independently. My son was met at his level and given one on one instruction and encouraged and moved up. The love he received there is unmatched, and I am so grateful to have been able to have my child attend here. The summer activities were so cute and there was just so much love into everything done there. The teacher is amazing gifted and I am forever grateful. I actually cried when my son graduated from there, and was so anxious about him moving on because there is no teacher like this one! But I knew that she had prepared him well for kindergarten. He sometimes still goes there for drop ins when school is out. This place is amazing !

If you’re looking for childcare, I’d highly recommend Morning Star. My daughter went to Morning Star for 3 years. Ms. Yetty taught her so much during that time. She genuinely seemed to care about my child’s overall wellbeing, and growth. She also created activities to make it a fun and memorable experience for her. We are forever grateful for our time with Morning Star.

We have been attending for about 6 weeks & our child has really settled in. She is always happy leaving, learning so much & I enjoy watching her be embraced.

I was nervous moving my son to a new daycare in a new place. But it was the BEST choice! My son absolutely loves it here. He’s always so happy to be there and I love that she sends pictures from the day.
