What Parents Say
5 reviews from parents
Honestly, this is one of the best schools I’ve placed my daughter in. We originally started in Arlington and transferred to the Bedford location. Great experience.
Our two year old LOVED MCS and so does our entire family. Their dedication to the growth and nurturing of children is truly admirable. We are so lucky to have found MCS and highly recommend them if you are looking for childcare in the area! Thank you to Ms. Iliana and Ms. Cici for being so loving!
My Daughter just started and she is loving it. The ladies are bright, happy , and excited every time I drop her off. It helps my daughter feel comfortable with saying goodbye and she is always happy when I pick her up. It’s good pricing for our area too!
I usually never write reviews, but I have been compelled to do so after having to uproot and move elsewhere. The three years we spent at mid cities scholars was phenomenal and Mrs. Shontay treated my daughter as her own! We miss you guys so much and thank you for the everlasting memories!! It’s been a month and my daughter still asks about her friends and Miss. Victoria. The next facility definitely has some big shoes to fill. Love you guys & keep up the good work!
Overall we were happy with mid cities! My daughter attended for about a year. The only reason we withdrew our daughter is because we relocated. There are pros and cons to everything. The biggest pro is the owner treats your little as her own. She sincerely cares about each child as a person not a tuition. Con, lunch is not provided. Also a con, there were a couple incidents with my daughter replacement teacher that had me a bit concerned. However, I did bring it to owner’s attention it was addressed. I would definitely recommend mid-cities!
Web Report
Aggregated insights from public records & parent discussions
Safety Record
Mid Cities Scholars is a licensed child care center (License #1634644) that has been in operation since 2017 with no reported news of major incidents, closures, or legal issues. However, employee reviews for the organization raise concerns regarding staff-to-child ratio compliance and claims of children being left unattended during staff breaks. Texas Health and Human Services records confirm the facility has a capacity of 40 children.
Parent Reputation
The center lacks a significant public record of parent reviews on major platforms like Google, Winnie, and TrustedCare, which is unusual for a facility established in 2016. Marketing materials emphasize a 'child-focused' and nurturing environment, but the lack of independent parent feedback makes it difficult to verify these claims. Employee sentiment is notably negative, centered on management and operational stressors.
Staff Insights
Employee reviews from Indeed are highly critical, with a 1.0/5.0 overall rating. Former staff report being frequently 'over-ratio,' experiencing significant burnout, and a lack of structured management. One review specifically alleged that children were left unattended in classrooms while they slept so staff could take breaks.
