The Busy Bee Preschool

Busy Bee Preschool is truly a gem. We absolutely love this school. The facilities are spotless, beautiful, and so thoughtfully designed — from the calming, curated colors to the intentional toys that genuinely support developmental growth. Every corner feels purposeful, warm, and inviting. Ms. Kathryn, the owner and director, is nothing short of wonderful. Her passion for early childhood education shows in every detail of the school. She leads with kindness, intention, and a genuine love for the kids. You can tell she pours her whole heart into creating a safe, nurturing, and joyful environment. Her sweet, always smiling mom, who also helps support the school, adds to that comforting, family feel. All of the teachers and front staff are always so happy, energetic, and excited — it instantly puts parents at ease. I felt so much anxiety sending my son to preschool & it has all washed away. A special shoutout to the incredible Orange Classroom lead teachers, Ms. Priscilla and Ms. Rosa — unbelievably calm, patient, loving, and truly invested in each child’s growth. We are so grateful for the thoughtful way they care for the kids— as well to the wonderful floater teachers, Ms. Lupe and Ms. Kar, and of course Ms. Kathryn herself. They are always warm, attentive, and ready to help wherever needed. We also love the app, which keeps us connected throughout the day with updates, photos, and everything we need to feel involved in our child’s world. It’s such a comfort and one of our favorite parts of the experience. At Busy Bee, the kids, teachers, and parents all feel like one family. The community is truly special. The school events are so fun, thoughtful, and full of heart — another example of how much effort they put into making childhood magical. My son’s vocabulary, gross motor skills, and social skills have grown exponentially since starting here. We couldn’t be happier here. Busy Bee Preschool is everything we hoped for and more. Highly, highly recommend!

I am trying to find the words to say how absolutely wonderful Busy Bee is! Our 10 month old daughter is in the infant classroom and in three short months she has grown and learned so much! Her gross motor and fine motor skills are amazing and most of that is credited to her phenomenal teachers Gabby and Evelyn! Daily they have such enriching activities to do with my 10 month old and her classmates. I have been a teacher at Busy Bee for a while now, but I am simply blown away by the amount of love, care, and nourishment my daughter has received in just 3 months. It also helps that my daughter absolutely loves school and never cries when I drop her off, but instead waves bye and has a great day. If you want your child to go to a school where they will be given an amazing foundation for their education Busy Bee is the place to bring them. We are forever grateful to Kathryn for building a brand new amazing center, full of enriching activities and rooms for our daughter to learn, thrive, and grow! I absolutely would recommend Busy Bee to anyone in the Manor or Elgin area!

We recently switched care to Busy Bee Preschool and have had a great experience so far. It is a brand new facility, sparkling clean, well put together and feels safe for my little one. I deeply appreciate the attention and care by the staff and owner and their investment into the kids development. I particularly want to call out their curriculum based approach to learning as we’ve seen so my growth in our child since starting here. If you are near the area and looking for a place for your child I would recommend!

We absolutely LOVE Busy Bee!!! Every aspect from facility, curriculum, staff, communication is unbeatable. We can tell a difference in development since our 18 month old started attending a few months ago and he loves going to school every day! Ms Kathryn is amazing and has built such a loving culture, highly recommend!

We recently switched to busybee and I couldn’t be happier with this school. The new space is so modern and always impeccably clean. They follow a fun learning curriculum by age and we’ve noticed our son is learning so much faster since switching. The director of busy bee is also very hands on with the school and all of the kids, since day 1 she knew all of their names and parents and is often jumping into the classrooms to spend time with them. You can tell she genuinely cares and enjoys her job which puts my mind at ease. My only complaint is that they follow the ISD calendar so we have to budget PTO for all the school holidays but it’s worth it for the level of care they provide.
