Green Monkey Daycare

We were searching for a place that would honor our baby with care, engagement, and respect—and we were nervous we wouldn’t find anything that aligned with our hopes and values. Then we found Green Monkey, and it was everything we had prayed for and more! I could go on and on—truly, words don’t do justice to how wonderful Rubi and her team are. Their approach is joy-filled, genuine, and nurturing, creating a bond with each child that honors and dignifies them as individuals. As a first-time mom, the thought of sending my son to daycare was terrifying. But from the moment he started, I never once worried about his care. I knew he was loved, seen, and safe every single day. We recently moved away from Austin, and we still grieve the loss of Green Monkey and the incredible community there. If you are looking for childcare, my husband and I give Green Monkey a 100/100 recommendation. It’s truly a special place.

I am beyond grateful for the incredible experience my daughter had at Green Monkey. Ms. Ruby provided a nurturing space where genuine care and respect for each child's individuality were at the forefront! Ms. Ruby's calm demeanor along with an environment that was thoughtfully designed to encourage exploration and discovery, allows children to develop at their own pace. It was amazing to witness my daughter confidently make choices and express herself freely! :) I am truly grateful for the positive impact Green Monkey has had on my daughter's early years. The values instilled here will undoubtedly shape my daughter's future, and as a parent, there's nothing more comforting than knowing your child is in the hands of a team that genuinely cares! This daycare is not just a place; it's a community, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to any parent seeking a nurturing and enriching environment for their child!!

Green Monkey and Ruby were such a blessing for my kids and us for many years. I wish I could have brought Ruby and all the little kiddos to our new home out of state because the environment is so unique, amazing, special, encouraging, and the ultimate sense of COMMUNITY. The mind set of this in-home child learning center is the best and really allowed both of our children to thrive, explore, and grow. We miss our Green Monkey community so much and if you have the opportunity to have your kid(s) here, it will bring so much joy to you and your kids!

We are SO thankful we found Green monkey daycare. We were fed up with some of the more mainstream daycare options our son was enrolled in due to their outdated discipline practices and approaches to caring for children. Our first meeting with Ruby solidified that Green Monkey would be a great fit, not just for our son, but for us as parents too. Their philosophy on respectful childcare shouldn’t be radical but is so hard to find and their daycare truly felt like a unicorn to us. The small team of staff have always been so wonderful and knowledgeable and we felt they really got to know our son as an individual. Ruby made the effort to get to know us prior to our son starting with them and from day one, we felt comfortable dropping our son off in their care which is a huge weight lifted as a first time parent. They always collaborated with us and let us know how our son was doing and we really enjoyed feeling part of the larger community of parents. Our son loves being outside so Green Monkey was a great fit in that regard and the food he ate there was always a step up from what was served at home!! I recommend Green monkey without hesitation and feel so grateful we found Ruby and her team!!

Just WOW! Green Monkey is truly a second family and holds a true definition to co-parenting. We appreciate Ruby taking time to focus on healthy, local, vegetarian meals, the use of all natural products and allowing children to learn at their own pace. Our child attended GM until the age of four and we still are involved with outside activities. We love our home away from home. ❤️
