About Creative Action After School At Blanton

Creative Action Arts-Based After School

Creative Action at Blanton Elementary provides a high-quality after-school experience where students develop as '4C' learners: Creative Artists, Courageous Allies, Critical Thinkers, and Confident Leaders. Led by professional teaching artists, the program utilizes theatre arts, digital filmmaking, and visual arts to foster social-emotional growth and community connection. The curriculum is intentionally designed to be culturally and socially relevant, encouraging students to explore their creativity while building life skills. Students benefit from a supportive environment that follows the AISD calendar, operating from the end of the school day until 6:00 PM. The program integrates seamlessly with the school campus, utilizing classrooms, the cafeteria, and outdoor playgrounds. Families can expect a mission-driven culture that prioritizes equity and joy, supported by a staff of compassionate educators dedicated to youth development through the arts.

This is one of the best after-school and summer camps in Austin. My kids love it and they don't want to leave when I come to pick them up.

I can’t begin to describe our gratitude to Creative Action Summer 2019 Camps. Our son has been having the time of his life! After rotten experiences at other camps around town, he was convinced that all camps were, “AWFUL!” I’m happy to share that he has fallen in love with Creative Action camps! He has made friends, art and movies. The Creative Action Staff has welcomed him with wide open arms and supported him since day one. We love Creative Action Camps and look forward to many more summers with their incredible programs!
