My husband and I are relatively new here, having transferred from St. John Neumann, which had been our spiritual home since 1982. We hold our forty years there very close to our hearts. However, we felt God gently calling us into a new season at St. Catherine of Siena. My husband, in particular, was drawn by a profound sense of the Holy Spirit’s presence here—a specific spiritual peace that told us this is where we are meant to be right now.....

I have been a parishioner now for well over theee years. Father Pat Coakley's mission statement, while not outwardly professed, or posted, is no longer fostering his own flock. He is fostering more of a global-political agenda. This is well and good. However we are members of his flock. We live right here in the community. This community and the needs of those who live in it should be his primary concern. Our lives, and our personal relationship with Christ must be continually fostered. Our personal faith needs must be his primary focus. We live right here in the community. Ukraine, Russia, and wars there are ongoing on our planet need our prayers for peace, Our day-to-day lives here in the parish of St Catherine of Sienna should be his primary and secondary concern. If just one member of this flock decides to leave the herd and wonder off, that should be his focus. Not Russia or Ukraine. It's not just me that has this concern. I know there are others. We must all lovingly share our concern with Father. He is Shepherd of our flock. He is a man of God. However, we are also children of God and at times we need to course correct and it is our duty to speak truth and humbly address this with the leader of our parish. We are not doing anything wrong by doing so. This was the message of Christ. Christ's also lived in a world much larger than his. However he focused on those around him (his flock). He loved them. He taught them. And at times, he correct med then. Christ sit down and slowly weaved a whip to run the money changers out of the temple. Imagine that scene if you will. Imagine what Christ was thinking as he slowly, methodically, weaved the whip. He then slowly walked into the temple and began turning over tables full of spices and other products, chickens frantically scattering and livestock ran, He whipped men and others buying and selling in the temple, it would have been a chaotic, violent and bloody scene. Jesus felt the need to do so. He was sending a message. The house of the Lord is holy. It is not a place of money changers. It is a place of worship. God has given the authority to the priest to shepherd God's Flock. It is a heavy. Jesus's ministry focused on those souls around him. He did not speak of troubles in foreign lands. He spoke directly to those in his community. Then he sent his disciples to speak directly to others in cities far away. He didn't stand on a hilltop and deliver the sermon on the Mount by speaking about people living in Egypt or those in Africa. He spoke directly to the congregation directly in front of him. By doing so his message spread like wildfire. If we focus on those around us and share how Christ is positively impacted our lives, we will spread Christ's message the same way.

First time. The priest for the 1:15pm mass has a very thick Indian accent and I didn’t understand half of what he said. The church was uncomfortably hot and stuffy. The bathroom was dirty, with urine all on the floor around the urinals. I won’t be back.
