What Parents Say

Even if I am just a kid I love this church so much and I love the people. I have been going to this church for my entire life and my dad has gone here sense he was my age and we both got baptized here. I recommend this place to everyone ❤️
My wife and I visited on Easter 4 years ago and knew immediately this was the church for us. It felt like home not because of any building, but because of the people. Warm, inviting, humble, and authentic. We have learned so much and grown closer to God in new ways we never experienced before. If you are looking for a place to ask questions, heal, and grow, Friendship is that place that will encourage your relationship with Jesus in a community that is earnestly seeking Him.
This church is truly a place where you can be yourself. People are open, willing to listen, and ready to lift you up when you need it most. It’s not just a place to attend on Sundays, but a real community where you feel welcomed, supported, and genuinely connected.
I’m a traveling artist and had just finished a radio show in Wimberley when I hit a big traffic backup. After grabbing a coffee from a nearby shop, I really needed to find a restroom. The first place I saw was Friendship Creekside Fellowship Church. Seeing cars in the parking lot, I assumed the place would be welcoming — as most churches are. When I walked in, a kids’ event was going on. I asked a young woman who was serving as an usher if I could quickly use the restroom. She told me they did not have public restrooms and suggested I drive to the gas station up the road. As someone with a background in Christian schooling and a strong personal faith, the interaction felt disheartening. The message of Jesus has always been about compassion, hospitality, and caring for the “one sheep.” Being turned away — especially at a place literally called Friendship — felt the opposite of that spirit. I’m a kind, harmless traveler (I even had star-shaped pimple patches on), and the experience left me feeling unexpectedly rejected. I understand there were children present, and safety is important, but I hope this church will reflect on how to balance safety with kindness. Sometimes a small act of hospitality can make a big difference, especially for someone far from home. I leave with this verse in mind. God is not given a spirit of fear, a bit of love power and sound mind. My only regret is I did not push back in person. I should’ve said something right then and there, but she had other people she was helping and I did not want to continue to be what I felt was a nuisance.
Seriously the best freaking church ever! Everyone is so warm and welcoming form the time you get there to the end! People who say they care really mean it and prove it by remembering you and following up with you. Everyone is not afraid to talk about hard things and there’s nothing off the table. You are truly welcomed in so incredibly warmly. This is now my home. 🥹🥲♥️🥰
