Firefly Community School

After a difficult time finding a place that would accommodate our son’s food allergy, it was such a relief to find Firefly and meet with Ms. Maggie and Ms. Alissa, who were so kind and patient with assuring us our son would be safe. They have an onsite kitchen, with food prepared by the renowned Chef Keith, and reviewed their entire menu to determine foods that were safe for our son. On mornings that his allergen is served, I always hear Chef Keith offering him an alternative and making sure he’s included and fed. The entire staff’s care and dedication is felt on a daily basis. A truly welcoming and inclusive place for children to play and learn.

We're 18 months into our Firefly experience and we absolutely love it! We stumbled onto FF serendipitously through a Google search and haven't looked back. Within minutes of meeting Ms. Maggie and Ms. Alissa on our initial tour we knew this was the spot for our kiddo. The mixed age classrooms have been great, teaching him how to interact with other kids of all ages. The teachers have been very kind and patient. Chef Keith does a great job keeping the whole school fed with good, healthy meals which has helped expand his sometimes picky palate. Communication via the Brightwheel app is easy and transparent. Wonderful school, wonderful vibe, wonderful team!

We’ve had such a wonderful experience at Firefly Preschool. The teachers and staff provide excellent care, and my son has truly thrived here. He has made so many friends and is learning so much through play-based activities. Each day, he’s excited to go to school, which says it all! I also have to give a special mention to Chef Keith — the meals are so good that I honestly can’t compete at home. Knowing my son is so well cared for, happy, and eating better than I can cook gives me such peace of mind. Firefly has been a fantastic place for our family, and we couldn’t be happier with our choice.

Firefly has been a dream come true for our family! Our son struggled in multiple school programs and we weren’t sure where to go next. When we found Firefly, they assured us we would work as a team to make it home for him. They are patient, flexible, caring, kind and compassionate. They are SO much fun. Our son recently told us the best part of his day was being at school and asked us to stop coming early to pick him up!! He has also excelled in learning to write his name, create art, play independently, learning basic math and problem solve. We have seen his empathy increase tremendously with his life sister after having a mixed age classroom. He is learning to lead and help those around him. We are so grateful and will always keep our family at Firefly.

We are beyond grateful to have found Firefly almost a year ago! From the moment we walked through the doors, we felt a sense of warmth and calm that we hadn’t experienced elsewhere. The mixed-age classrooms create such a rich sense of community and mentorship, and we have seen tremendous growth in our toddler because of it. Their emphasis on outdoor play and exploration is unmatched. Maggie, Alissa and every single teacher at Firefly has made our experience beyond positive. Choosing Firefly has been one of the best decisions we’ve made for our family and we couldn’t recommend it more highly to other families!
