About International Montessori House Of Children
International Montessori House of Children
Established in 1965, this Austin institution remains committed to the time-tested pedagogy of Dr. Maria Montessori. The program features a rich curriculum incorporating cognitive, sensory, and motor activities alongside a dedicated Spanish immersion track. Classrooms are prepared environments where certified Montessori lead teachers guide children toward independence and global citizenship. The facility emphasizes a school-family partnership, utilizing a secure app to provide parents with real-time messaging, photos, and videos of classroom activities. Beyond the standard academics, the campus includes a large outdoor playground and garden spaces where children engage in nature-based discovery. Extra-curricular options such as yoga, dance, and soccer are also available to enrich the student experience within a nurturing, community-focused atmosphere.
What Parents Say

Our company has had the pleasure of partnering with International Montessori Far West for a couple of years. Ms. Betty and Jennifer, the owner, are always available and proactive in addressing anything that arises. There have been multiple times they’ve acted immediately to help us keep everything running smoothly. I appreciate the strong working relationship we’ve built and would highly recommend this location to other vendors and to parents seeking a well-run, supportive Montessori in the Austin area.
My company has partnered with this Montessori as a vendor for a couple of years, and it’s been a very positive experience. The manager here, Ms. Betty, and the owner, Jennifer, are always accessible, quick to address concerns, and proactive in finding solutions. On several occasions, their fast action has made our job much easier. I truly enjoy working with them and highly recommend this school to both parents seeking a quality Montessori in Austin and other vendors considering a partnership.
The school, curriculum and teachers & staff are all incredible. The curriculum incorporates cognitive, sensory and fine & gross motor activities in addition to play. The teachers and staff are very intentional about their curriculum and fostering a safe, inclusive environment for the students and families. The school also does a great job of inviting families in for various activities and celebrations. We have a kid in each classroom and we also love that there is play between the toddler and primary classroom.
Our family has had the best experience at International Montessori. Both my children attended this school from 18 months through the start of primary school. Their curriculum is excellent but above all, the love and care that they give the children is what kept us. My youngest is ending his season with International Montessori but we will forever be grateful for their influence in our children’s lives!!!
The care, structure, and love the team provided — especially Ms. Cynthia — created such a warm and nurturing environment for our daughter to thrive. We saw her grow in confidence and skills, and most importantly, she felt truly safe and supported every single day. We’re deeply grateful to the entire staff and already miss them so much. This school is truly one of a kind.
