About Joy Park Montessori School
Joy Park Mandarin Immersion Montessori
Joy Park Montessori School combines traditional Montessori principles with a rigorous language immersion program in North Austin. The program focuses on developing the whole child—physical, social, emotional, and cognitive—within a nurturing community. Students are encouraged to develop independence and self-reliance using authentic, hands-on Montessori materials that facilitate self-correction and deep concentration. The school features a brand-new campus specifically designed for early learners, including two age-appropriate covered playgrounds and spacious indoor activity areas. Led by MACTE-accredited educators, the curriculum integrates Mandarin Chinese naturally into daily life, aiming for bilingualism by kindergarten. Beyond core academics, children engage in practical life skills like food preparation and grace and courtesy, fostering a lifelong love of learning and global-minded citizenship.
What Parents Say

We thank all the teachers the care and discipline they provided to my son. My son has been attending Joy Park since he was 22 months, and he wasn't easy. With all the issues he had, the teachers showed the utmost patience and care for him. All of his issues I constantly worried were all gone after just a couple of months of attending! My son is also learning so much from school! Everyday he comes home and surprises us with a few more vocabularies learned from school (mandarin and English) and even Chinese poems! For a 2.5 year old to recite many poems is pretty impressive in my opinion :D Thank you!
My husband and I toured more than 16 preschools before enrolling our older daughter at Joy Park, and we’re so glad we did. We were immediately impressed by how nurturing, dedicated, and professional the teachers are when it comes to early childhood education. Our older daughter graduated from Joy Park this summer after attending for nearly two and a half years. We recently received her first kindergarten report, and she’s performing better than 98% of her peers academically. We are beyond grateful to you and all the teachers at Joy Park—you’ve played such an important role in her early learning journey. We truly love being part of the Joy Park community and deeply appreciate the warmth, care, and professionalism you bring to every child’s education. We feel so blessed to be part of the Joy Park family. Thank you, Livia, and thank you to all the wonderful teachers! Our younger daughter also joined Joy Park this summer, and she absolutely loves it—she’s excited to go to school every day, and adores her teachers and little friends. Thank you again for creating such a joyful and nurturing environment!
Choosing a preschool for your child is a decision filled with hopes and expectations, and for us, Joy Park Montessori School has not only met but far exceeded our expectations. From the moment we first stepped through their doors, we've been consistently impressed, and our child's journey there has been nothing short of transformative. One of the most striking aspects of Joy Park Montessori is the incredible team of educators. We cannot emphasize enough how kind and loving the teachers are. They possess an almost magical ability to connect with each child, understanding their individual needs and fostering a genuinely nurturing environment. It's clear that teaching for them isn't just a job; it's a passion. Every morning, our child is greeted with warm smiles and genuine enthusiasm, which immediately sets a positive tone for the day. This consistent display of affection and patience has made our child feel secure and cherished, creating a strong foundation for learning and exploration. The most profound testament to Joy Park Montessori's excellence is the remarkable way our child has grown so confidently. When our child first started, while curious, there was a natural hesitancy that many young children exhibit. Now, we witness a blossoming individual who approaches new challenges with an impressive sense of self-assurance and an eagerness to learn. This confidence is evident in their interactions with peers and adults, their willingness to try new activities (dance class, Karate and Soccer, just to name a few of the after school activities) and their articulate expression of thoughts and ideas. Beyond the emotional and social development, Joy Park Montessori offers an exceptional academic advantage, particularly in their unique bilingual program. We are absolutely thrilled that our child has gained bilingual skills in Chinese and English. The seamless integration of both languages into the daily curriculum is truly remarkable. The teachers, many of whom are native speakers, introduce concepts and engage in conversations in both languages, making the learning process feel natural and organic rather than forced. Our child now effortlessly switches between languages, understands instructions, and even initiates conversations in both Chinese and English. In conclusion, Joy Park Montessori School is more than just a preschool; it's a vibrant community where children thrive. The combination of incredibly kind and loving teachers, an environment that fosters immense confidence, and the unique advantage of bilingual education in Chinese and English makes it a remarkable choice. We recommend Joy Park Montessori to any family seeking a truly exceptional early childhood experience for their child. Our child's growth and happiness are the clearest indicators of the extraordinary care and education they receive every single day.
We’ve had such a wonderful time at Joypark! Our kiddo learned so much, and the staff has been so supportive in his growth as a little person. Their approach to immersion is amazing too. Our toddler is bilingual and in many ways on a 1st grade equivalency now!
Our daughter has been at JoyPark since she was around 20 months old, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the care and guidance she’s received during her time there. She started in Ms. Anjali’s class and later joined Ms. Iris’s, and both teachers have nurtured her with so much kindness, patience, and thoughtful attention. What truly stands out about JoyPark is how well they balance loving care with meaningful learning. My daughter didn’t just feel safe and happy, she grew into a curious, confident, and independent little learner. The Montessori approach, paired with the incredible dedication of the teachers, gave her the foundation to explore, ask questions, and express herself. Late last year, her applied to one of the top private schools in Texas at age 3.5, and she got in! We believe the solid foundation JoyPark provided played a huge role in preparing her not just for the admissions process, but also for the learning journey ahead. The school helped her build strong social, emotional, and academic readiness, all while letting her be herself. Thank you, JoyPark, for being such a meaningful part of my daughter’s early years. We’re especially grateful to Ms. Anjali, Ms. Iris, Ms. Yuhua, Ms. Ria, Ms. Jane, Ms. Hanna, and all the wonderful teachers who have taught and cared for her along the way and the amazing principal, Ms. Livia. Your warmth, guidance, and dedication have meant so much to our family, and we’ll always look back on this time with deep appreciation.
