What Parents Say
5 reviews from parents
My son loves going to KLA Schools of Sweetwater. I’ve watched how quickly he is learning to speak and socialize, and his progress has even impressed his pediatrician and the rest of the family. The people, events, and well-organized environment make this school a place where creativity and learning are allowed to flourish in tandem. This is a community of highly engaged and committed parents and teachers. Ms. Savannah and the rest of the staff have made my family feel very welcome at the school. If you want the best for your kids, pay this school a visit. Highly recommended!
Peace of mind: hardest decision I made after maternity leave ended was finding a daycare AND KLA delivered in every dimension. Frequent communication, cleanliness, organized academic agenda, fun and caring teachers who actually like being with children, open and inspiring facilities, multicultural and multi-languages! Miss Elena took care of my LO and helped him walk by himself and RECORDED HIS FIRST STEPS ever in video for me and the family… such an important milestone in my LO independence.
My boys have gone to KLA for the last two years, after we left a different local school. We have had really great teachers and they learn so much there. They also really love going to school each day. The school has definitely had their share of turnover, but I do like the direction they are going with new leadership. Edit: My boys are graduating from the TK program this month! They have had a fabulous year with lots of learning and fun. They are more than ready for Kindergarten in the fall!
Our daughter has been at KLA since 18 months. She just graduated from PreK, and it’s bittersweet. I feel like we’ve all grown together. My daughter has experienced a tremendous amount of growth at KLA — it’s where she learned how to use the potty, social skills, how to approach reading, and basic math skills. It has totally prepared her for Kindergarten. Yes, there has been staff turnover, and we haven’t always loved that, but we’re very happy with the current management, and her current teachers. Our baby son also started at KLA, and he’s doing great! Updating 9 months later to add: our daughter is thriving in Kindergarten. I think her prep at KLA helped with her success. Also, my son has been at KLA for 1.5 years, and he’s doing amazing. The entire staff has been very consistent and we love his teacher.
KLA has been great to my family over the years. We started in the 2’s classroom and are in the 4’s classroom with Mr. Seth and the next steps being transitional kindergarten with Ms. Janice in the fall. I don’t find the previous reviews accurately reflect the changes and growth happening currently within the school. The school’s new director, Lindsay, is truly listening to concerns, frustrations, pain points, and feedback from parents and teachers. And those concerns are addressed in a timely manner with honesty and maturity. She has really transformed the school's environment in a matter of months and I’m thrilled with the direction it is heading. She has contributed to the addition of materials, equipment, outdoor learning resources and enrichment classes for our kids and continues to build out programs regularly. The teachers and staff are absolutely wonderful! In the past I felt this school couldn’t hang onto the good ones and it was frustrating as a parent to not see a consistent teacher or administrator. In the last few months I can feel a shift in mood and an overall feeling of happiness again among the staff and parents. Which all comes down to leadership and management! They hired a great one in Lindsay! My child absolutely LOVES to come to school everyday. Our current teacher, Mr. Seth, is a wonderful educator! He’s a pleasure to talk with every morning and I can tell he loves to work with our kids. I’m optimistic that this summer and fall sessions will continue to be just a great!
