About Montessori Internacional

Montessori Internacional Spanish Immersion Campus

Established in 1965, Montessori Internacional provides an authentic learning environment rooted in Dr. Maria Montessori’s pedagogy. Serving the Austin community on Jollyville Road, the program balances academic rigor with a warm, family-oriented atmosphere. The campus is particularly noted for its expansive, tree-covered outdoor classroom and dedicated Spanish immersion curriculum. Lead teachers are Montessori certified and focus on developing the whole child through discovery and mixed-age learning. Families benefit from transparent communication through a secure app for updates and progress reports. In addition to core academics, children can participate in extracurriculars like yoga, soccer, and dance. The director and staff are frequently praised by parents for their patience and for creating a serene, joyful space where students thrive both socially and academically.

When it comes to finding a place for your child, it’s not just about price or location — it’s about finding somewhere they feel safe, happy, and truly loved. This school has gone above and beyond in every way. My daughter started here at 22 months, and in the beginning, she was so quiet she didn’t say a word for weeks. Now, she sings, dances, plays, and even helps welcome new friends who join the class. The growth we’ve seen in her has been incredible. We’re only leaving because we’re moving, and it’s bittersweet — we’re heartbroken to say goodbye to her wonderful teachers and this amazing community. The staff’s warmth and engagement, the thoughtful daily activities, the fun family events, and the beautiful, tree-covered backyard playground have made this place feel like home. We’ll always be grateful for the love and care they’ve given our daughter — and while we’re sad to go, she’s excited to bring everything she’s learned to her new school and make even more friends. ❤️

When considering child care for my daughter at 2.5 coming out of the pandemic I checked a lot of places and this school was everything we wanted. We loved it so much we commuted all the way from Georgetown. The staff are highly trained, impossibly patient incredibly kind and so flexible. My daughter felt so at home there. They capture the essence of montessori, unlike some "montessori" schools that are in name only. My daughter learned so much Spanish and has a true connection to the language. The campus is gorgeous with a huge outdoor play area with lots of shade. My daughter graduated and is now in kindergarten and she was very well prepared academically her math and reading benchmark testing at the beginning of the year are in the 93 and 96 percentile. I would highly recommend anyone that can afford it to send their child here. We LOVE this school.

Our company has been providing cleaning services for International Montessori Spanish Immersion for a couple of years, and it has been a great experience. Myriam, who co-owns the school, is always approachable, quick to respond, and proactive about problem-solving. On several occasions, she and the team have stepped in right away to help us resolve challenges and keep operations running smoothly. It’s a pleasure working with them, and I would highly recommend this school to both vendors and parents looking for a warm, well-managed Montessori environment.

As a long-term vendor for this Montessori, I can say the partnership has been excellent. The leadership here— both Jennifer, one of the owners, and Myriam, the other owner and the Director—are responsive, solution-oriented, and always willing to step in when needed. Their efforts have consistently made our work smoother and more effective. I’m grateful for the working relationship we’ve built and would recommend this school without hesitation to parents in Austin and to other service providers.

Our daughter Elea has been enrolled at the school since she was 2 year old and stayed until 3,5, and was really able to thrive at international Montessori. When she started, she wasn’t used to spending much time outside (we lived in Paris, France before), she was a bit prudent on the playground and could not speak English. After only a few months, she started speaking great English, and later Spanish too and she felt a lot more comfortable on the playgrounds with motor skills and made great friends. Ms Myriam and her team are always super caring and treat each kid like family. We felt a level of love and nurturing from the whole staff, Ms Gaby, Ms Ana, Ms Patty that always left us super happy and serene. Great attention was brought to Mother’s Day and Father’s Day and we felt like the parents community was fostered. Elea just changed school because we wanted her to learn French, but otherwise we would have never changed her. Highly recommend.
