What Parents Say

We unexpectedly needed to find a new daycare after a situation at our previous center, and I’m so thankful we knew Sarah. I already knew her through my older daughter, and she went above and beyond to help us transition quickly. Since enrolling, my youngest has had a complete turnaround. She’s excited to go to school every single day! We love the consistent picture updates, which give us a real glimpse into her day and make it easy to keep the conversation going at home. Sarah’s communication is fantastic, and I appreciate her honesty about things like what our daughter is or isn’t eating so we can address it together. The care, attention, and personal connection here have been such a refreshing change, and I’m so grateful we made the switch.
I cannot say enough good things about Miss Sarah and the growing patch. My son is 3 1/2 and genuinely loves going to school. We have unfortunately tried a few in the area, and my son can be slow to warm up, but when we did a trial day with Miss Sarah, it was clear that my son was comfortable right away. We love the structure that she operates with, but that she still provides a ton of variety, excitement, enriching activity, and fosters are really great environment for learning. She sends lots of photo and video updates throughout the day which we love too. My son has learned so many new skills: writing, letter and sound recognition, use of scissors, some Spanish, and so much more. Ms. Sarah makes sure they have plenty of time outside, is very communicative and really offers a partnership in caring for your child. She has been doing this a long time, but her passion still shows through each and every day in everything that she plans for the kids, the ways that she goes above and beyond to create a special experience for them, to celebrate alongside them, and to create a little family among the children that go there. It is a really really special place and I’m so glad we found her. Thank you for all you do, Ms. Sarah!
We are so lucky to have Ms. Sarah and the Growing Patch in our neighborhood! Ms Sarah does an amazing job creating a structured environment, fun lesson plans and engaging activities for the kids. She supports the kiddos as individuals and is great at balancing a variety of needs for each individual. Sarah is very communicative and goes above and beyond sharing photos and updates on weekly lesson plans. Our daughter is really thriving under Sarah’s care, and has mentally and emotionally grown since starting. 10/10 would recommend if you’re looking for an in home/nurturing/montessori vibe.
My daughter has been attending The Growing Patch In-Home Preschool for over three years, and we’ve had an amazing experience! The personal attention and cozy, home-like atmosphere have made a huge difference for our daughter. One of the best things about this preschool is the caring teacher, Sarah. She creates such a warm and welcoming environment. The curriculum is engaging and thought-provoking, similar to a Montessori approach. Our daughter used to dread going to her previous daycare because of the constant staff changes and less nurturing environment. But with Sarah, she is always excited to go to school. We also love how accommodating the preschool is with dietary needs, making sure our daughter always has something she likes to eat. The special holiday activities, like pajama parties, are a wonderful touch that our daughter really enjoys. Sarah interacts with the kids in such a positive way, with lots of great activities that keep them engaged and happy. Overall, The Growing Patch In-Home Preschool has been a wonderful choice for our family, providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for our daughter.
Sarah watched by kid from ages 2.5 to almost 6 years old. My daughter absolutely loved going there and still maintains friendships with her classmates there! Sarah is very loving and attentive. My daughter now goes to another school and it's so different not being able to get updates and pictures regularly. It was a privilege to be able to attend the Growing Patch. I've loved seeing it blossom into the wonderful learning space it is today. I trust Sarah so completely with my child. I recommend her to anyone looking for care for their littles.
