What Parents Say

My infant son went to YMOK for several months while I had a temporary job. It was his first daycare experience, and they took wonderful care of him. Would recommend!
YMOK would constantly send my son home covered in food and throw up even if he would have extra clothes. I would get incident reports either from scratches or bites at least twice a week. I had a baby girl in June and my kid’s grandma had to pick up the child from daycare that day and they used that as an opportunity to tell her that my son never wanted to go home with me, and said that I’m always in a bad mood with them. They always have the TV going and I received a picture of my son with a baby behind him sleeping in swings with a toy covering their face. My final straw was when they sent my son home with a giant red spot on his face, that turned into a bruise the next day with no explanation. Christina (the director) would always make me feel dumb when I would bring up a concern and kinda ignore what I was actually trying to ask or address. My son also has since stopped this behavior but while he was attending, when he heard the word “no” he would hit him self on the head several times in a row. I also heard a teacher address a child by saying “good morning sexy” 😟
I’m very happy to have found YMOK! Cristina was able to meet us quickly and get my 3 month old in with a short wait period. The prices are competitive. My daughter smiles brightly whenever we drop her off. The staff are friendly, make knowledge recommendations, and follow infection control standards that I didn’t see anywhere else (and really should have!). Very happy with the care my daughter received.
After having our daughter go through multiple daycares with lackluster results, we finally found a center that offers the same level of care and love that we provide our child. The strides in growth our daughter has made in just a matter of months is astounding. She went from hating the toilet to being almost fully potty-trained, has a better grasp on linguistics in both Spanish & English and has become exponentially more sociable. I cannot recommend Cristina and her team more, they have been a blessing in our lives since day 1.
My son went to YMOK from about 6 months old to almost 2.5 years. Due to a move, we had to leave YMOK and it was so very hard. He loved going to school each day and all of the teachers were so kind and loving towards him. Cristina, their director, is phenomenal and was always available to answer questions and address any concerns. She also cares deeply for each child and would be able to share little stories or details about my son’s day at pickup. You can tell the staff is like one big family and there was very little turnover there and many of the teachers have been there a long time. One of the hardest parts about our move was leaving this wonderful place!
