What Parents Say
5 reviews from parents
I am very pleased with Little Rascals, my daughter is one year old and she is very happy from the moment I drop her off. I definitely recommend this daycare. Thank you to all the people who take care of my child!
I have been in Austin since 2017 and l have two little kidos. 5years and 3 years. Little rascals daycare is our second daycare and l boldly say l have enjoyed and experience 100 peace of mind since we enroll in the facility in 2018. The proprietor Ms Jones is a genius and a mother to me and grandma to my kids. My son had eating problems with his first daycare because he was not used to the meals the daycare served and they didn’t nothing to tell me till l realized and changed his daycare to little rascals. Immediately my son started little rascals daycare barely three days and Ms Jones contacted me to discuss my son eating challenge to find other options. Ms Jones and her lovely and dedicated teachers help me to bring my home meals( African meals) that my son is likes and knows so they could help him eat that as well as introducing the school meals to him. Little Rascals also coordinated with my son speech therapist who visit my son at the facility twice weekly to help my son with his speech and pronunciation. My kids love the teachers and their friends and even disturb me on weekends that they want to go to little rascals daycare because it’s always fun and happy place to me. Also l love little rascals daycare for their flexibility they offer to parent in terms of closing hours. I have not encountered any problems picking up my kids when am behind time amd in traffic from downtown. Honestly l can not pen all the help little rascals daycare offers to my family. I want say that it a good and healthy learning environment to enroll your kids.
Please do not bring your children here, there are way more better and affordable places than LRD. It’s over crowded, not enough teachers/Staff. Ever since the new owner has taken over it has been a disaster. Owner deserves ZERO stars and perhaps another investment because there is a lack of passion for Children in this facility from the owner or perhaps hire someone who can manage this place and bring it back to where it ONCE was. Teachers are great and genuinely loves kids but for the owner it’s just a business. If anyone rates this place more than 1star it’s from a family member, friend or fake account 😒. Can’t be trusted
Walked in, waited for 5 minutes before anyone even noticed we were there, was told to go into the office for help. Kids were unattended and crying the whole time, walked towards office and saw lady on the phone- I said hello so she would know we were there. She pointed at the phone and gave me a rude look, like I needed to go. My husband wanted to wait, after 3 more minutes of hearing crying babies and no response whatsoever from staff- we left. The place was dirty and had no security- someone could have gone in and taken kids without being noticed at all.
Awful place! The owner Ms. Della is rude, mistreats the children and employees. My daughter was TERRIFIED when I dropped her off, unless the director was there. There is little to no academic rigor. Basically you are paying for babysitting. The owner is cheap and penny pinching, so she can't keep good staff, and the facility is ALWAYS understaffed. Do NOT send your children here. It is not worth the risk, the owner is unstable and just plain disrespectful.
