About Childrens Courtyard
Children's Courtyard Harris Branch Parkway
Operating for over 27 years, this center provides a stable and nurturing environment for Austin families. The program utilizes a research-based curriculum designed to prepare children for elementary school, supported by an 'active learning' philosophy that encourages hands-on exploration. The facility features age-specific playgrounds, spacious classrooms, and an indoor playroom, providing ample space for physical and cognitive development. Parents frequently highlight the dedication of the long-term teaching staff, particularly noting teachers like Ms. Tanya and Ms. Sheila for their caring nature. While the facility maintains high standards, including a 4-star Texas Rising Star quality rating, the administration remains focused on safety and transparency through the SproutAbout app, which gives families live video access to their child's classroom throughout the day.
What Parents Say
5 reviews from parents
This is a nice place, it's also a smaller school so that does allow a lot of attention on the kids who go. I have found this place preferable to larger daycares because you can count on relatively quick drop off and pickup compared to other daycare/schools. The cost is comparable to other day cares. Don't sign up expecting a larger industry, massive amount of staff or private school style.
Our family has been part of this daycare for over five years, and we couldn’t be more grateful. They cared for our oldest, Presley, for four years, and now our youngest, Parker, is currently enrolled. The communication is excellent, and the teachers truly care about the kids they treat them like family. We’ve always felt confident and at peace knowing our children are in a safe, loving, and supportive environment. We highly recommend this daycare to any family looking for a place that truly puts kids first.
I have 3 kids attend CCY since 2021. From the infant classroom to school age. When I enrolled my kids due to Covid I was not able to do an in person tour. I feel like this should say a lot. Based of a meeting outside with director I chose to put my kids here. Yes the cameras give a sense of comfort but it’s the care the teachers give the kids that speak volume. The close knit family feeling and how quickly the staff is to resolve any issues if one does arise. There has never been a high turn over rate since my kids have been attending. They’ve actually known/ became familiar with all teacher so once they are moved up the kids already know their new teachers. The cleaning lady keeps the whole building and outside cleanly and nice looking. The kitchen lady always has nutritional food on the menu. I don’t think they could have hired better teachers. ALL teachers need to be recognized for such an awesome job they are doing. You can tell the office staff have the best interest in your children when they show up to work every day. Thank you Ms Tanya, Ms K and Ms Marissa for the care you show my kids daily.
We couldn’t be happier with our experience at The Children's Courtyard on Harris Branch Parkway! Our child started here as an infant, and from the very beginning, we’ve felt confident and at ease knowing they’re in such caring and capable hands. As first-time parents of an only child, choosing the right daycare was a big decision. We’re so grateful we found a place that not only provides a safe and nurturing environment but also supports our child’s growth and development every step of the way. Each day, our child is excited to go and always comes home happy and full of energy. It’s clear they’re engaged, comfortable, and genuinely enjoying their time at daycare. We especially love seeing the arts and crafts projects they bring home, so much creativity and care goes into helping the kids express themselves. The live camera access has been a huge comfort for us, especially in those early months. Being able to check in throughout the day gave us peace of mind and helped us feel even more connected to their day-to-day experience. Another big plus is how close the daycare is to our home. It makes drop-offs and pick-ups quick and easy, and it’s reassuring to know we’re just minutes away if anything ever comes up. We highly recommend this place to any parents looking for a nurturing, safe, and joyful environment for their child.
As a mom of three, I’ve had the privilege of having all of my children attend The Children’s Courtyard on Harris Branch Parkway over the past ten years — and I can confidently say, this center has been a second home to our family. From the infant room all the way through school-age care, we’ve experienced just about every classroom, and the care and consistency from the staff have been exceptional. I want to personally thank some of the amazing teachers and staff who have helped shape my children’s early years: Miss Tanya –Whether in the classroom or the office, your patience, love, and consistent presence have made such a difference. You truly see each child for who they are, and my kids always lit up when they saw you. Mrs. Marissa – Whether in the classroom or the office, thank you for your energy, positivity, and the way you connect with kids. You bring warmth and fun into every room you’re in. Miss Kay – Whether in the classroom or the office, your kindness and professionalism always stood out. You all have been someone I could trust and talk to, and I’ve appreciated that more than you know. Over the years, we’ve also had the pleasure of working with other wonderful staff members. The communication with parents has always been strong — from daily updates and photos in the app, to in-person check-ins and open conversations. I’ve always felt informed, heard, and respected. The facility itself is clean, secure, and well-organized, with classrooms tailored to each age group and safe, engaging outdoor and indoor play areas. My children were always excited to go to school, and that’s a reflection of the environment these educators have created. Of course, no daycare is without occasional challenges — but what matters most is how a center handles them. The leadership at Harris Branch has always been responsive, professional, and willing to work with me Thank you, Children's Courtyard Harris Branch, for being such a special part of our lives. Rochelle.
