We transferred to AWFC after 3 years with another agency and it was a much more positive experience than we had with our first agency. AWFC made the transition so smooth on their end. Our family felt extremely well supported from the moment we were licensed. One of the things I love the most was that they support the whole family. They included my bio child in everything and checked in with him whenever they came for visits. I also really appreciate how they didn't push us to take on more than we felt we could handle. I would and do recommend this agency to anyone who expresses interest in fostering.
There are many facilities we could choose to donate to and support. It is often hard to be confident that the money we give reaches the children in need. After getting to know the staff personally, witnessing what they do for the children they serve, seeing the dedication to family involvement and fostering community we are proud to provide support to this organization. We know the money we have sent for Christmas gifts truly go to provide for the children. We know as we offer support in providing school supplies it goes to the children. It is not often that you can truly find an organization of integrity and a genuine purpose to provide every possible resource to encourage the emotional and physical health of the children they serve. Thank you for allowing our family to be a small part of this great work! Colby Family
I am blown away by the care and compassion A World for Children has for the foster children and families they support. For any situation they've stepped up and really provided exceptional help and went above and beyond to place children in the best possible family to help them during trying times. The empathy they show, and outpouring of love is rare and the quality is evident in their service. The effort the team puts in to host holiday celebrations for the children to restore a sense of belonging and normalcy takes a lot of planning and coordination, and loads of stress, but every year they do it willingly! Highly recommend, and if you can support them in their mission in any way, please do! It's a worthy cause!
This is an Amazing agency. They do a lot to take care of the children to the very best they can. They're not afraid to ask for help from friends and families so with these children will get Christmas, Birthdays and whatever else is possibly needed for them. They do so much in finding them the proper home along with a loving caring family in hopes of finding them a forever home. They don't hesitate to go out if there's a complaint of the children's care. I personally have known One of the people there for some 20 some years and she has a Heart of Gold. Jennifer is an Amazing mom and feels all children deserve to be loved and cared for.
It can be difficult for a young person from a different walk of life to fall in place when joining a foster family; however, A World for Children supports both the foster parents and children to make it a much easier transition with love for every child as we all are number one priority to A World for Children. They definitely appreciate and support us and the hard work being a foster parent consist of, as we have spent plenty of time filling out forms, saving receipts, completing logs, maintain our records, taxi driver and life coach all at once. They are always there to help us in any way they can, They truly make you feel like family, not just an agency. They do all that they can to Thank you, for laying out your life story for the foster care system to evaluate. I believe every foster parent working with A World for Children would agree that A World for Children goes above and beyond for us all!!
