What Parents Say

Our son has been coming here since he was 4 months old, and over the past 4 months he has loved it there. The staff in the infant room has been amazing and I know in child care there can be turnover, but we’ve had the same teachers for our 4 months which I feel like helps with consistency and trust with our son. I’d like to give a shout out to Miranda, Kylie, Harriet and Jaylyn (sp? The other person in the morning with Harriet). They all seem not only dedicated, but like they truly enjoy what they do. My son lights up when he sees them and I feel like at times doesn’t want me to pick him up at the end of the day. Miranda is very intentional with fun activities for the kids, truly treats them as if they were her own. Kylie came to one of the kids b-day party on a Saturday, literally took time out of her weekend to come. She always makes my son lights up and giggle. Miss Harriet has the best welcome in the morning, my son nearly flies out my arms reaching for her as he is very excited. Jaylyn (sp?) is so attentive at drop off and makes sure his day starts off great. Ms. Kambree is another who has given our son a ton of extra TLC and attention and I don’t believe she is in the 0-1 room, she just goes out of her way to help. Jennifer has been great as the school’s principal, she seems to know every kid’s name and truly seems to care, and even though she probably has 7 million things on her plate, she has always been great at communicating with us. One thing I will say is that if your child is going to start care mid month there, make sure and have your payment set up on the first of the month to avoid an extra processing fee. We either forgot that detail or weren’t given it and had to pay an extra fee when our son enrolled with one week left in the month. Again, very small thing, but they have far exceeded our expectations overall.
Our son loves Stepping Stone. The teachers love and take such good care of him. Ms. Miranda and Ms. Kiley are amazing teachers and are so supportive and attentive.
My experience with Stepping Stone School has been deeply disappointing. Communication was consistently poor from the beginning. It was difficult to get timely responses to basic questions or concerns, and follow-ups were often ignored or delayed. This lack of transparency created unnecessary stress and confusion, especially when it came to my child’s well-being. One of the most concerning issues was that my child expressed fear of one of the teachers. As a parent, that kind of response is unacceptable and alarming. Billing was another major issue. I encountered several inconsistencies and had to follow up multiple times just to get a clear understanding of what I was being charged for. It felt like there was no clear system or accountability. To top it off, we were promised access to ABCmouse as part of the curriculum or enrollment perks, but we never received any login information or guidance on how to use it. Repeated reminders led nowhere. Overall, I cannot recommend Stepping Stone School based on our experience. Between the lack of communication, billing confusion, and the emotional impact on my child, I expected much better care and professionalism.
I had a fantastic phone call with Brandy! From the moment she answered, I could tell she was warm and welcoming. She took the time to listen to all my questions and concerns, providing detailed answers and insights that really put my mind at ease. Her genuine passion for the children and commitment to their well-being was evident, and it gave me great confidence in the daycare’s environment. I truly appreciate her patience and thoroughness. Thank you, Brandy, for making this experience so positive!
It's been a month since we've enrolled our daughter at Stepping Stone Pflugerville and have been beyond satisfied. As a first time mom, I was very nervous transitioning her to daycare, but all those fears were gone after she arrived. Miss Miranda is the head teacher of the baby room and has been phenomenal. She's calm, kind, offers daily updates and sends photos that make me smile. A week in she even asked to do my little girl's hair and both of us now enjoy seeing all the hairstyles. It clear she loves children and is doing what she was called to do! I've also seen developmental growth during the month she's been there. She's working on sitting up and Stepping Stone mirrors what we do at home so the consistency is helping. She also is holding her bottle on her own now, too! But the real mark of great care is every time we go, my daughter has a smile when I pass her over and when we come home is calm and at ease. All the staff have been great. Whenever I have any questions they are prompt to answer (and let me tell ya I always have questions :) ). I am so happy that we've found Stepping Stone Pflugerville and look forward to her growth in the years to come!
