What Parents Say
5 reviews from parents
My oldest started attending Stepping Stone at 14 months after moving across town and my twins started at 6 months old. I honestly can’t imagine making it through this stage of life without the Stepping Stone team. They are true partners in raising my children, from learning to eat solids to potty training in addition to school preparedness. My oldest is school age and still goes when her school is closed and is happy to see the friends she grew up with! The neighborhood feel is pretty special and made for a great school transition. We are so happy to be here and in this community.
We’ve been at this location of Stepping Stones for 6 years through two kids. It’s been great for our family and often feels like a second home to my kids. Miss Judy and Miss Leah take such great care and our kids have truly loved many of their teachers.
We chose Stepping Stone Crestview for childcare five years ago, have two children there, and could not be happier with our decision. The staff, with Judy and Leah at the helm, are incredibly caring, patient, personable, and communicative, and the curriculum is robust and challenging, yet age-appropriate and fun for the kids. Our baby adores Ms. Vilma, Michelle, and Holly, who are baby whisperers and keep him smiling and laughing all day -- it's truly comforting knowing that he is in their care when not with us. Additionally, it's a testament to the staff and program that our school-age daughter, who has transitioned seamlessly to kindergarten after being at SS since 5 months, loves attending their afterschool program. Ms. Lynlee's class and her hands-on teaching approach were especially pivotal in preparing her for kinder with respect to curriculum and social-emotional skills. The warm reception and hugs she receives from the staff upon arrival, especially Lynlee, Precious, and Gina, continue to make SS feel like home. Can't recommend SS Crestview enough!
Stepping Stone Crestview was our first choice for daycare based on a friend’s recommendation, and we’ve been absolutely thrilled with our decision. Ms. Judy has been there for over 30 years and is an incredible wealth of knowledge — always ready with helpful advice whenever I ask. Ms. Judy and Ms. Leah run a truly amazing program! I’ve actually seen more children crying when it’s time to leave Stepping Stone than when they’re dropped off in the morning — a true testament to how much the kids love being there. All the teachers know every child by name and greet them warmly, even if they’re not in that particular classroom. There are so many wonderful teachers, including Ms. Teresa, Ms. Holly, Ms. Sara, Ms. Michelle, and Ms. Vilma (my child ADORES Ms. Vilma!!). I’m sure the other teachers are just as fantastic; we just haven’t had the chance to work with them yet. The daily reports are detailed and helpful, covering naps, meals (which they provide — and the menu is impressively diverse, introducing kids to foods far beyond my usual cooking creativity!), diaper changes, and more, along with an adorable photo. The outdoor play area for the older kids is spacious and inviting. Stepping Stone Crestview provides a loving yet structured environment where children thrive. We truly couldn’t recommend them more highly.
We transferred our son (now three years old) from another Stepping Stone location approximately two years ago and could not be happier with this decision. We've learned that preschools' success are driven by the leadership and community, and Stepping Stone Crestview has the best of both. Ms. Judy (Principal) and Ms. Leah (Assistant Principal) are both strong, caring, and structured leaders who truly value the wellbeing of the kiddos and families. And the teachers that our son has had— Ms. Gina (the best of the best) and Ms. Ari— care about these children and their development more than I can describe. Our son is genuinely excited to see his teacher every day, and I am so impressed by his development and skills-building. Located in the heart of a Crestview neighborhood, Stepping Stone Crestview is a tight-knit community that we are so grateful to be part of. We cannot imagine sending our son anywhere else.
