We love CCY! I can say my little guy is well taken care of and has so much fun during the day. Katia and Ida in the infant room are amazing when I drop my kiddo off in the morning. All the staff are so nice and attentive. Michelle has helped us tremendously transitioning from the RR location to Spicewood Springs. Currently my kiddo is in the toddler room with Afsaneh and he loves it! As far as pricing after looking at many daycares in Austin, this is one of the most reasonably priced daycares- the tuition is worth it for the experience. Best daycare experience by far ❤️

My daughter has been receiving services from The Childrens Courtyard for over two school years now. There was a recent change with staff. I’ve had the best experience with this location . The entire staff has standards that accommodate the entire enrollment class. Their after-school program is such a benefit to us. I don’t have to worry about a single issue with this location. The staff is very vibrant and always willing to immediately address any parental issue I’ve ever had. My daughter enjoys the activities as well as “riding” the bus after school and during field trips. The communication is well organized. The Director, “Michelle” and upper level management, “Summer” are more than AMAZING. If you have ever been hesitant about an after-school program, this location should soothe your mind, making all things “Worry-Free”.

We've been taking our 3-yr old to this preschool for about 7 months now and it has been a good experience. This daycare location is fairly new from my understanding, and they actively seek input from parents and actually follow up and sometimes implement our recommendations. All the teachers know our son's name, which gives the place a sense of community. My wife especially likes the fact they have cameras (our previous day care didn't). So overall I'd say it's a good place that constantly seeks to make improvements wherever possible.

Look, picking a daycare is probably one of the most stressful things you will do as a parent. It's also extremely hard to find a "good" one seeing as there are SO many factors to consider - health, cleanliness, education, etc etc etc. First thing to point out - there was a leadership change months ago, maybe a year, and the change was noticeable Everything improved and I feel like the quality of the facilities and the staff have been only improving since this change. I tip my hat to Ms. Michelle for driving these updates. As a family, we're pretty down the line average. We don't have any special diets, allergies, needs, etc. So I cannot speak to any of those things. What I can speak to is the care that my son receives. He (almost) never cries at drop off, many times he's excited to "go to school". He loves his teachers (shout out to Afsaneh, she is FANTASTIC. So kind and loving to my boy). He gets to play outside, he loves the soft play room, he enjoys story time, making crafts, and playing with his lil' buddies. I genuinely believe he's happy and having fun while my husband and I are at work. I LIVE for the photos I get of him during the day and will sometimes check the cameras to see what he's up to. For additional context, my son is almost 2 and has been going to Children's Courtyard since he was 5 months old. The infant teachers are also amazing (Ida and Lettie) and he also really loved his toddler teacher (Ava). I've only had one incident in his ~18 months there that concerned me but the issue was swiftly resolved and in fact the employee involved no longer works there. Since then, I've been very happy with all his teachers and the staff. Overall, our son will continue at Children's Courtyard for the foreseeable future and any future children will go as well. I hope this review helps others to decide on their childcare provider, I feel like most people only post reviews to be negative and we need more positivity out there.

My daughter has attend Children’s Courtyard since before she could walk. The core group of teachers there have helped her grow to wonderful toddler. She knows her alphabet, how to count to 20, and every color under the sun!! We had a few wonderful teachers that have left but it seems they always find great ones to fill their roles. We plan on keeping her enrolled even after she starts kindergarten with their after school programs. Thank you for all that you do and for taking great care of our little bear.

Web Report

Aggregated insights from public records & parent discussions

Safety Record

While no major news headlines for abuse were found for this specific location, parent reviews report two significant safety incidents: an employee seen yelling at and pulling on children on camera, and three children observed walking out into the parking lot unsupervised. State records indicate the facility holds an active license issued in 2003 with a capacity of 396 children. The location received a high food inspection score of 99 in early 2025.

Parent Reputation

The facility maintains a generally positive reputation for its infant and toddler programs, with an average rating of approximately 4.04 stars from over 100 reviews. However, parents frequently report a significant decline in quality for older age groups, specifically citing high teacher turnover and inconsistent communication in the Early Preschool classes. Common themes include praise for the on-site live-streaming video access and criticism regarding classroom over-packing.

Staff Insights

Employee reviews and parent feedback highlight a mix of dedicated long-term staff and high turnover rates in certain classrooms. Some parents reported that a previous staff member was removed following complaints about aggressive handling, while others specifically praised the current director, Kim, and individual teachers for their care. Some reviews from parents suggest that teachers appear underpaid and overwhelmed in classrooms for older children.
