About Capital Metro Childcare And Learning Center
Capital Metro Bright Horizons Learning Center
Established in 2006, Capital Metro Childcare and Learning Center provides a structured environment focused on research-based curriculum and developmental exploration. The facility features 25,500 square feet of space designed for active learning, including dedicated classrooms for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Our program is built on the Discovery Driven Learning® philosophy, ensuring that children are engaged and prepared for future academic success. Our center is known for its long-tenured teaching staff, many of whom have been with the program since its inception. We emphasize transparency through our parent app, which provides real-time updates, photos, and daily reports on meals, activities, and milestones. Beyond standard care, we offer a chef-prepared menu and enrichment opportunities such as summer splash days and special theme days to keep children excited about their daily routines.
What Parents Say
5 reviews from parents
I cannot say enough good things about Cap Metro Bright Horizons... it's like a family. The quality of care and the personal investment in your child and you is beyond measure. The chef's menu for kids and developmentally appropriate exploration and food provided has been so comforting and exciting to see your child enjoy. I have had my son in the infant class since early in the new year and those teachers in particular are SO GOOD. They can get your baby back on schedule when they get thrown off it, they send pictures and updates through an app of all the learning, play, food, changes, sleep patterns and exploration your child is doing. They are like extended family and partners in parenting. Miss LaRee and Miss Gloria are simply the best you could hope for. As a first time Mom, there's so much anxiety about choosing a daycare you really can trust and all my hopes and expectations were surpassed and then some about this experience at Cap Metro. The front desk staff and Director - everyone! - are so warm and kind. They clearly care deeply and they partner with you too. I can't recommend this spot enough.
Love Bright Horizons Cap Metro - Ms Ashlee is wonderful, made our daughter feel comfortable after she joined this center. They were thoughtful about the move from Toddler to Transitions class and made a plan to acclimate our daughter over the span of a couple weeks and made sure she had a friend to move up with her. Ms Mattie and Daisy are great with kids- she’s had so much fun learning and making friends. They’ve always been incredibly caring and kind. Would recommend!
I highly recommend this childcare center for your little ones. Both of our daughters received care here beginning when they were young infants. We've toured and interacted with multiple daycares/schools around Austin, and the level of care and teacher and facility quality provided here is unmatched, especially for babies and toddlers. The professionalism and experience of the team is outstanding. I fully trust my kids with these teachers and even look to them for recommendations for at-home. They truly were an extension of our family. Your child receives customized care, you have parent-teacher conferences with regular updates, and you receive a full daily report, including photos, within the app. I can't imagine having sent our babies anywhere else.
Great facility, quality staff, with programs that really help your child grow. We’ve had our daughter enrolled at Bright Horizons Cap Metro since she was 6 months old, and now she is 22 months. And I have to say, her development shot up in leaps and bounds after we started her in their classes. I mean, one day we realized she knew where her nose and mouth and eyes were, and we definitely did not teach her that! Same thing with knowing various animals and the sounds they make —it was just such a pleasant surprise to realize how much she’s learning from school. They have a set curriculum, and the children are always constantly developing, learning, and growing. What’s especially great is the phone app they use which allows you to track their diaper changes, meals, activities, nap times, and even see pictures of them doing all of the fun things they do throughout the day. They’re also served multiple nutritious meals and snacks each day (of course we brought breast milk or formula whenever she was still a baby), and compared to other daycares that require families to bring their own food, this is so much less of a hassle! They have various cute special days such as pajama day or reading pal plushy day, and I love that they make it a point to take the kids outside for outdoor exposure and activities whenever the weather permits. They also even have weekly splash days during the summer whenever it’s hot. The management, teachers, and staff have extensive experience, are so communicative, caring, and go above and beyond for the kiddos. They track the kids’ development, and we have periodic meetings with the teachers to discuss how they are learning, growing, and doing in the classroom. The Bright Horizons company also hosts webinars that can help teach parents more about creating STEM environments, managing difficult toddler behaviors, how to foster a bilingual home learning environment, and so many other interesting parenting topics. I really can’t say enough great things about this place; we are just so glad we found this center. Highly highly recommend!
Their infant program has been a great fit for us. They started our little girl at 4 months and have really helped her grow. They are proactive at working on her exercises as well as diet advances. Always so sweet to greet us at the door on drop off and pick up. My 6 month old has been all smiles on drop off, which is a great sign that she is having a positive experience. She has made other friends in her infant class. I love following along with her day in the Bright horizons app that updates every feed, diaper change, and activity. Would highly recommend!
