What Parents Say
5 reviews from parents
Our daughter is so happy here! She's a non verbal and autistic two year old that's always on the go. She could not make it one day at another preschool because her unique needs were misunderstood (no fault of their own), but here she has just thrived because she is exactly where she belongs! We can't say enough nice things about her time here at Sammy's House. Her growth in a couple of weeks is nothing short of miraculous. Everyone is extremely compassionate and knowledgeable about working with special needs kiddos! It has been a wonderful experience and I cannot thank them enough for what they've done for our little girl!
A place for kids who have no where else to go. This warm & caring environment serves the children who can't attend a standard daycare. The kiddos who's parents need to work so they can pay the overwhelming medical bills. The reverse inclusion so you can bring all children, fragile or typical, to the same place. A place that offers respite care to give a much needed break to parents who never get rest worried about their special babies. Isabel and her team have created a model that has won awards and many have come to learn. Curriculum designed to meet each students needs. Outdoor time to calm and learning opportunities. Serving the poor, those who are without homes & families of their own, and those who just want the very best care for their kids all in a place to learn from each other. Sammy's House is a magical place, where so many have grown into their full potential after leaving their doors.
The staff at Sammy's House are an incredible group of servant-hearted people. They make every child in their care feel special when so many come to Sammy's House as a last resort because other childcare programs won't take them. The leadership team cares so much for the kids and the mission their fundraising events and efforts are all so impressive with such a small team and an even smaller budget. Thanks to all the staff at Sammy's House for making all kids feel like they belong.
Absolutely love Sammy’s house, my Son Jonah has done both preschool and school age summer camp with Sammy’s house and our time with them was amazing. I felt so good knowing my child was in both good caring hands but also understanding hearts, He was always excited to go back the next and see his teachers and friends. Bonus that they have a swimming pool in this Texas heat and life guards for safety. They build such a community with everyone and made us feel so included. I’m so thankful for Sammy’s House and all of the staff Especially Mr.Victor, Ms. Lesley, Teacher Quinn and Teacher Larry for making lasting memories with us. We can’t wait for next summer!
Sammy's House was life-changing at a time we needed them the most. After leaving the NICU with a kiddo with an ng-tube, we were scrambling to try to find child care that would accept our child. We found Sammy's House through word of mouth, and were blown away by the compassion, love, and warmth of all of the teachers and staff. The infant teacher, Ms. Sally, is particularly wonderful and has years of experience caring for children with all abilities. I truly believe the care they gave our daughter was instrumental in her being able to transition off of her ng-tube. I highly recommend this daycare.
