We’ve had children in both classrooms at Goldfinch since the school opened, and we’ve been consistently impressed with the care across the board. The teachers are outstanding - they create a truly exceptional, safe, and joyful learning environment. Our kids have been deeply supported, and we’ve found a wonderful community for our whole family. We found the teachers to be really patient with our particularly high energy kid, and really helped him to harness this energy into leadership skills and learning. Our oldest grew so much in confidence during their time there and was incredibly well prepared for kindergarten. They still love any chance to go back and visit Goldfinch. Any bumps we experienced were in the very early days of the school and were thoughtfully addressed through clear communication and genuine care from the owners and leadership. We feel so fortunate to be part of Goldfinch and highly recommend it to anyone seeking an exceptional learning environment, a place for their child to build confidence, and a warm, welcoming community.

We have had a wonderful pre-kindergarten experience at The Goldfinch School. Our daughter loves her teachers and the other kids, and we feel confident it is a safe and loving environment for her. The family who owns and runs the school has been open to feedback and truly cares about the school. There are many opportunities to meet the other families and get to know the staff. We look forward to enrolling our younger child in the future.

Proceed with caution and don't be fooled by the shiny new toys and instagramable classroom. While Goldfinch does have some lovely staff and absolutely incredible families, this school is a business first, and a childcare center very very last. The owners provide little support to their staff leading to burn out and chatter across the school. Any feedback or inquiry into the program is taken as a threat and little will be done as the Director is the Mother of the owner. There is a large detachment from modern childcare practices and unless your child fits in a very specific (quiet, docile, sit and don't be seen) mold, you are not welcome. If you are looking for a program that supports development, encourages creative thinking, seeks community involvement, or genuinely cares about individual childhood social and emotional development, this place is not for you. In fact, if you ask for clarification or details on their practices, their instant response instead of listening is, "maybe this place just isn't for you." There is such potential for greatness here, but it won't be achieved until new ownership, or new leadership at the Director level, is in place.

Goldfinch has been an incredible experience for our family! Our child loves going to school every day, and we've really seen her blossom in so many ways since joining this fall. The teachers are absolutely incredible, knowledgeable and compassionate. We couldn’t be happier and always recommend the school to our friends!

Our daughter has been going here for a year and it has been the best experience! The teachers are so warm and nurturing. Everything about this experience has been positive. Our daughter loves going to school each day. She’s moving up to the pre-K class this year and we’re excited to watch her continue to grow at Goldfinch!
