We 100% recommend Grace for childcare/ Pre-K. I am so happy my son had many years here learning through play! My son was at Grace for four years- from the time he was in the "baby" room through the pre-K classroom. Grace staff excelled at genuinely, truly caring for my kiddo, teaching him independence and how to speak up for himself. My son absolutely loved the playground- outside, new play structure, large grassy yard to run around in. We loved that the daycare was tucked back behind the main building and not directly on Mill Plain. The door locks/ code entry system added extra peace of mind. Pre-K was wonderful. My son's transition to K was great- he was at grade level on all academic stuff and well above grade level socially (listening to others, being kind) which is all because of Grace. We think back on our time at Grace Lutheran with joy and gratitude.

Our son Alexander had an absolute amazing experience at Grace Lutheran Childcare. The Staff was incredible as they loved and cared for our son for several years. We could not have made a better choice sending him here. We would recommend Grace Lutheran Childcare to any family that wants their child to grow and learn in a nurturing environment where the teachers and care givers are constantly promoting early learning/developmental skills, social interaction, arts/crafts, and a love for God.

I am so thankful both of my children could go here. The teachers are so great with the kids and they truly care about and love them. I feel like they go above and beyond to help kids thrive. Both of our children have gone here and all the teachers are truly amazing. Our kindergartener was very well prepared for kindergarten and learned a wide variety of skills from navigating social situations to letters, numbers, as well as topics like outer space, the ocean, different cultures and languages, and different kinds of careers. They send pictures of the kids on the family portal every day and I love seeing what my kid is up to and be able to message the teachers if needed. The little ones learn letters, numbers, shapes, and colors, sing songs, read stories, and do many fun activities and crafts. They go outside rain or shine and have these cute little rain suits they stay warm and dry in. I am so happy with Judy and her team. This is a truly great place and my kids love their teachers and friends here.

I can't say enough about Grace Lutheran Childcare. Our son was enrolled at the daycare and it was his first time away from home, so I was filled with anxiety and hoped for the best. We dropped him off on his first day and he said goodbye without crying - that really helped me get through the morning. I called in the afternoon to see how he was doing and was told he was doing just fine. When we arrived at the daycare to pick him up at the end of his first day, he did not want to leave the daycare, he actually cried. Every morning he was eager to leave home for daycare, he would put on his shoes hurriedly and point towards the door while calling 'Dada' (Daddy). The teachers were compassionate and kind and very attentive. It was just wonderful to have our son in an environment where he was nurtured mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually. They kept the kids really engaged with lots of indoor activities (painting, coloring, scribbling, pretend play, Bible and other stories) and outdoor activities. Unfortunately, we had to move out of state and we were so so sorry to say goodbye, but we are so grateful for the wonderful time our son had at Grace Lutheran Childcare.

I had a wonderful experience with my little one here. He started around 15 months old and Grace Lutheran did an awesome job making sure that his needs were accommodated. I enjoyed that all the adults know the kids and there is a very family feel to the place. There were several adults there that my son was quite bonded with. They also did a great job of teaching kids independent skills (washing hands, putting clothes on, pushing chair in). I’ve moved to a daycare only because it’s closer to me and I see my son has higher self-help skills than his peers from Grace Lutherans environment (and smaller student ratio). Their playground is unparalleled to any other one I’ve seen in area.Diverse toys, real grass, and shade from trees it’s a wonderland. Last thing I will say is the place has great operations with communicating falls/accidents and student needs. I know some schools have apps and tech savvy ways to communicate to parents but I felt I got all the info I needed here.
