By accessing or using CareCompass ("the Platform," "we," "our," or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Platform.

2. Description of Service

CareCompass is a marketplace platform that connects parents and guardians ("Parents") with daycare providers, preschools, and Montessori schools ("Providers"). We facilitate connections but do not provide childcare services directly.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Registration

To use certain features, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep your account information updated.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

3.3 Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use our Platform. By using the Platform, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

4. Platform Use

4.1 Permitted Use

You may use the Platform to:

• Search for and compare daycare providers
• Read and write reviews
• Contact providers and schedule tours
• Access educational resources about childcare

4.2 Prohibited Activities

You may not:

• Provide false or misleading information
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Post inappropriate, offensive, or illegal content
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
• Scrape or collect data from the Platform without permission
• Use the Platform for commercial purposes without authorization
• Attempt to circumvent security features
• Post fake reviews or manipulate ratings

5. Provider Listings

We strive to provide accurate information about daycare providers, but we do not verify all information posted by providers. We are not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of provider listings.

6. User Content

6.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of content you post (reviews, messages, etc.). By posting content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content on the Platform.

6.2 Content Standards

All user content must be truthful, respectful, and comply with applicable laws. We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms or is otherwise objectionable.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THE ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, OR QUALITY OF PROVIDER INFORMATION OR SERVICES.

Important: We are not responsible for the quality, safety, or legality of childcare services provided by any providers listed on our Platform. Parents must conduct their own due diligence, including verifying licenses, conducting background checks, and visiting facilities in person.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CARECOMPASS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES.

We are not liable for any disputes, injuries, or damages arising from interactions between parents and providers.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CareCompass from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Platform, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another user.

10. Payments and Fees

Some features of the Platform may require payment. All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated. You are responsible for paying all applicable fees and taxes.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for any reason, including violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings.

12. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the Platform (excluding user content) are owned by CareCompass and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

13. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated Terms on the Platform. Your continued use after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
